Kitty White singing with Elvis should of become a bigger singing star. She sure had the voice to become one. This was film back in 1958. Many consider this film as Elvis best performance. He came close for being nominated for the Oscars as best supporting actor. He was beaten out by Earl Holliman from the movie 'The Rain Maker.' Great reaction as always and love your daughters take on it too.

The added significance of that song is that Elvis performed a duet in the segregated Jim Crow South with a black woman. Today we don’t think twice about that. Kitty White was the name of the other singer. That was a groundbreaking move and Elvis should be given a ton of credit. The film, “King Creole” was actually one of his best performances.

Don't laugh. That is how street vendors sell their wares, food, produce, etc. while either walking through or riding through the neighborhoods of New Orleans back in the day. As a matter of fact, we still do have people doing this here. This movie "King Creole" was filmed on location in New Orleans in 1958. This scene was filmed in the French Quarter.
