#Creed3 - Фільми й анімація
If you’ve seen Creed III, you totally get Dame.
This ‘underdog’ scene reminds me a little of the Rocky II scene in Apollos office: despite getting told, he just wanted to prove himself at all costs - even if it meant deploying humiliation tactics. This in many respects made him a dangerous adversary in the film, rather than an arch villain. Jonathan Majors really stole the show in my mind as Dame, you felt every ounce of his frustration and pain. Many reviews hating this film, and whilst it did feel like it needed 20 minutes more for some character / rivalry development - it’s still underrated.
No he definitely delivered with the stuttering and looking around wherever he was you could feel it in the theater
I loved Dame. It was the perfect characterization that Rocky 3 sorta-didn’t do with Clubber Lang. I was almost rooting for Dame to win at some points
Felt the same. Needed 15-20 mins of more character and rivalry buildup. Or even some more drama in the fight.
The one thing , let's say the beach incident never happens, would Dame still have a plan to get Donny in the ring against him, when he was at Donny's house you could feel the hatred bubbling looking at the displays Donny had, his comment at the beach . I'm coming for it all, I'm surprised he didn't push up on Bianca..
Definitely agree on some character development. It would have been great to see more build up.
He did have a point. Adonis wasn’t a contender until Rocky made him, Rocky wasn’t a contender until he fought Apollo. Adonis has resources and connections to help Dame live his dream, yet refused to. At least get him a few fights for some money and exposure.
Exactly what I said
He didn’t ask for a few fights. He asked for a title shot even though he had never fought 1 professional fight. Thats not a realistic request. He was helping him by letting him train at the gym and offering to help more. I’m sure he would have got him some fights to help him. He tried to give him $ at the restaurant.
I saw this yesterday. Thought it was real good up until the fight at the end. I appreciate trying to do something different but the empty arena thing just was very awkward and took away the since of realism when throughout the movie they did a great job of showing the Showtime and ESPN parts and made it feel like we were really watching it on TV.
Still worth checking out. The performances were really good.
My favorite part is when he called him baby Creed. Reminded me of when Tommy punched Paulie in parr 5 and Rocky said you knocked him down now why don’t you try knocking me down. Both moments are a oh damn it just got real and its on now type moment.
Not how boxing works lol
@@breauxcewayne1971 Rocky didn't had any professional fight before Apollo too
@@matkaboskaosra-bramska3993 a lot easier to pull receipts today than it was back then. Also Apollo had beaten everyone and had to create the hype and narrative around his initial fight with Rocky. Dame does have a point but it's not as simple as it appears on the surface.
4:52 "Dont get quiet now Dukie"😂😂😂
4:51
😂😂😂😂😂
One of the funniest moments to me
🤣🤣
Was such a funny moment lol whoever wrote that part was a fool lol. The theater erupted in laughter.
Felix was knocking out sparring partners. Yet when Dame bites back everyone loses their minds! 😂
Felix was having a fight tho. However, Felix should've went softer tho
That's normal, the coach wants the sparring partner to be someone who will take a beating. It helps build the confidence of their fighter.
they getting paid to be living punching bags really - when you a sparring partner for a contender - Dame even said it this aint what he had in mind with getting help being a punching bag to some chump haha
The truth!
Felix was doing that by the book, according to the rules. Dame did him dirty
"He's telling you who he is, believe him" is taken from Maya Angelous quote "When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time" and its damn good advice.
That's a saying before even her time
People can change 👊🏽
@@francishamilton5610 yes but that takes time and by then you'll know who they are again
“He’s telling you who he is right? Believe him.” Wise words.
Words I live by!!!
Facts
Very. They certainly struck a chord
Factsssss that stuck with me more than anything out this scene
Maybe some of the wisest words ever but also the hardest for a lot of people to hear.
Adonis should’ve just said, “three fights first. Win all three, and I can probably make a title shot happen.”
I'd go for 5
Something like they did with Tommy Gunn in part 5. But instead they went the Rocky 1 route and gave him a title shot in his first match ever.
@@GABRIELA-ACEVEDO. Rocky had plenty of pro fights. Opening scene is him doing a professional fight.
I don’t think he would’ve taken that
What bothers me is you can actually go to prison for 18 years just for carrying a gun?
Dame was so serious about getting a shot he had Drago injured by his prison buddy! This was such a great movie glad I bought the movie❤
I am glad that "Wood Harris" got some very good screen time in this movie. He's been perfect as Duke JR. And he doesn't age. He looks the same as he did when he first played "Avon" in 2002.
They should've had Dame obliterate Drago before fighting Creed. That would've added a crazy fear factor for Adonis and the audience.
True Dealings ™
Verrry relevant comment! 💪🏾💪🏾👍🏾
Would’ve been too unrealistic, drago would wipe the floor with him
What really hurts me about this is how Dame actually got the title and was celebrating that he did it. But he only saw his life long friend/brother look at him in disgust because of how he beat Felix
Fought hella dirty. Dame was getting washed before the dirty tactics
What hurts me is seing a man (Dame) never getting over the fact that he messed up and now blames the world for that. Instead of being thankful he did get a pro-career, a title shot, the title, he cries over the fact that his friend is not happy that he fought very dirty against a stablemate. There's probably thousands of his former prison mates who'll never get a second chance at what they miss most in life.
@@buckfidencoincidencetheori7200 Was he? He seemed like he was doing fine.
@@saschadavid1959 Come on, you know it aint that simple. Dame was thrown in prison for trying to protect Donnie. It is also implied that he got 18 years partially out of racism. (18 years? come on)
You really expect there to be nothing but gratitude after spending such a long time in a cell because you defended your friend?
Besides in the end, Dame does get humbled enough to admit that it wasnt Donnie's fault.
@@buckfidencoincidencetheori7200 nah lol
1)Dame should’ve won the fight against Adonis
2)They should’ve gave Dame more fights after Felix
Overall still a great movie!
Oh yeah and ain’t no way Felix was beating Drago😂
They should have written the story taking place over two to three years.
Drago is a tank, ain't no way bro would've taken the smoke IRL
If Dame tried the same dirty tricks on Drago as he did on Felix he would get wasted, we know Drago is not above using cheap shots to get an advantage as well.
@@Chris-qo4rt I would think that Dame VS Drago would be even, both trading shots and using dirty fighting. However, Drago would absolutely maul Felix and floor him multiple times. He was a challenge to Adonis too in the 2nd film. Dame is so similar to Mr T (Clubber) in Rocky 3. That being said, Drago would drop Felix quickly in the first few rounds. This isn't a surprise considering he's the son of Ivan Drago who Rocky beat back in Rocky 4. Love how connected the Rocky/Creed series are. Loved also if Rocky was in Creed 3 training Felix as well
@@abdullateef6134 He may have lost to rocky but the guy left him with severe brain damage forcing him to retire
“Little man u ain’t built like that” 😭
0:01 It’s funny how it both Ant man 3 and Creed 3, Jonathan Majors is always trying to “make himself clear”😂
Facts 😂
and even now after his NYC arrest he still trying 🤣🤭
@VP Of Rent'em Spoons I saw it and it was great
He sounded like "Cutty" from "The wire" when he said that. After Cutty tells Avon *"I ain't making myself clear, the game ain't in me no more".*
Don't get quiet now dukie 😂😂😂
Gets Me Every Time 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
LMAOO man 😭
Omg lol woooow too funny
Duke talm bout “Man” *kisses his teeth*bro I was cryin😭😭😭
That was unscripted
I think it was slick how Dame had the whole setup from Day 1. He had Udonis gamed up the moment he was leaning on his Rolls
Rolls Royce but yes
He had 18 years to plan it all.
Excatly bro every one saying on the comments that Adonis set him up to fail but dame planned it along and initially gave Adonis no other option since he brought it up before when Adonis saw that pictures after he blamed his mother she said there was a point when Damien had your back then but that's not what he's doing now then he realized it all along
What do u think a Bentley is
@@romeojuliet8462 Rolls-Royce, Bentley...pretty sure neither of us owns one
“Don’t get quiet now Dukey”
“Maan”
😂😭
tbh damien had every right to lash out, he lost almost half his life and saw someone else live his dream. then when he asks his only friend for some help, he gets used as a punching bag for someone else’s dream and is mocked because of it
When you see it that , that’s pretty damn understandable
i wish we saw dame fight other fighters more before fighting creed just to build up his rep
Yeah they coulda made a 10 minute or less montage of him taking out few other fighters. I was expecting that
Yea I thought the same.Wouldve created more of a build up
Yes this was my biggest issue, Dame's rise and fall from the top was just way too rushed. They should let him have some small fight before facing Felix then have him defend his title at least 2-3 times after.
Other fights would of meant Dame would’ve been the champ for a few years polishing his game while Creed would’ve been retired for more time. Doing it right away made it more believable to me that Creed would win.
I agree because in real life someone who hasn’t fought in 18 years would never get a title shot with a record of 0-0. Adonis had fights under his belt so did Rocky. As a boxing fan I know this to be true.
The acting was amazing in this movie. Creed is such a great trilogy.
This is what makes Adonis the villain in this film. Dame could have told the police authorities about Donnie's involvement in the crime during their childhood flash back scene. Instead Dame did 18 years in prison and Donny went onto have a profound career. Dame was just asking for an opportunity.
If Adonis had stuck around he could’ve told the police that Dame was only trying to protect him which would’ve made Dame look much better so yeah I agree
I really hope a director’s cut / extended version of the film will come out soon because this film need way more time to develop and tell this story a lot better. I also wish there was an alternative version where Dame wins the fight against Adonis.
"Don"t Get Quiet Now Dukey"
What was Duke gonna do , when Dame checked him ? 🤣There was a cool parallel in the Felix fight, he called Dame a bum , his dad Big Duke said the same thing to Apollo regarding Rocky in Rocky 2 🤣
Yeah, but Big Duke was fronting, he ended up telling Apollo that Rocky was not the man to go after because he had never seen anything like it.
@@_JOMOMA Yep, those Rocky movies were something special too
Those grunts from Damien are the scariest noises I will ever hear from an actor
easy there gunner lol
Your scared of him? Wait till you meet his variants
It sounds cool asl to me shii
I woulda thought Bianca woulda already known Donnie was in a group home
Really hoping for a directors cut of this to come out soon. The story just seems a bit rushed.
This was a great movie and the story extends beyond the ring…though it was about confronting the past, it also showed that sins of the fathers don’t mean the sons have to be enemies and the importance of family, which both Bianca and Adonis did with Amara.
I feel Dame. Even sparring they were looking down on him. Life of an underdog. Little Duke should have not been so disrespectful to him.
creed 3 felt like a fever dream it felt like a spin off of creed
Is that not what it is
@@vr9518 no it’s a sequel
I feel bad for Dame because Adonis set him up to fail basically and I understand Felix is his fighter but Dame was like his older brother and always had his back.
How did Adonis set him up to fail? He didn't even want Dame to fight Chavez and only did so after Dame begged him. Adonis would have been fine with setting up a few easier fights for Dame to get him started up the ladder. He didn't "set him up." He was guilted into in even allowing the fight at all.
@@aperson4640 He gave Dame the fight because Drago was out with a injury due to Dame's friend and they had no other back up fighter for Felix. Adonis set Dame up because he was 100% confident that Dame would lose and Felix would remain champ. He had no plans of Dame winning the fight and becoming champ. Dame was supposed to be a lamb let to slaughter.
@@dafuqyalllookinat9731 ??? What movie were you watching? Again, Adonis had to be convinced to let Dame fight Chavez. There were plenty of other fighters he could have chosen who would probably lose to Chavez. I feel like you don't know the difference between setting someone up and reluctantly agreeing to their request.
@@aperson4640 I feel like you was watching another movie yes Dame brought the idea up to Adonis but he wouldn't have given him a title shot so soon if he had a backup. Drago was out and Adonis mentioned two other fighters Sporino mostly likely the guy from the first and he mentioned another guy. They weren't gonna be ready in time for Felix and Adonis didn't want to change the fight date. He literally had no choice but to let Dame fight because Felix had been preparing and he wanted to fight and get paid. Yes he gifted Dame a shot and he knew he would fight well but didn't expect him to win. Also Dame wasn't even a contender or pro he was supposed to lose.
@@dafuqyalllookinat9731the whole premise or theme of this Movie was Adonis feeling like he owed Dame so much because of they way things happened in his past. He didn’t set Dame up, he wanted to give him what he wanted to make up for him keeping out of touch/abandoning him after he got locked up. Dame got drago injured indirectly from one of his boys and knew Adonis would set up the fight afterwards
This man is an AMAZING actor!
Which one.
Jonathan
@@drknow1997 Yeah he is.
Jonathan Majors is such a phenomenal talent. When it is all said and done, he will be up there with the likes of Marlon Brando, James Dean, Robert DeNiro,, Al Pacino etc and remembered for generations to come.

“Dont get quiet now dukie” 😂
Man. 🤦🏾♂️
Anyone else rooted for Dame to win?
Hell yeah
yup i rooted for him to win in the felix fight. But when i seen that he was kinda fighting dirty i was a little disappointed. I wish they actually had him fight clean to show that he’s actually relying on skills
and drago
@@r.e.e.2.e eh ig, but he was locked up for 18 yrs lol doubt he cares about fighting clean.... also would've liked to see him win in the end
@@cruz1n494 i mean yea but in the real life sport’s world people don’t respect dirty fighters. Can’t risk another mans career because your didn’t go to plan. What they should have done for the last fight vs creed was had a draw.
Wish dame got more scenes and more fights. Personally when Adonis mother passes away i feel he should have left a voicemail letting Rocky know. Wish there was a scene at the end of the film where Damien and Adonis have family dinner and Damien and Adonis playing with adonis daughter teaching her how to box would've been the perfect ending after the locker room scene after Damien forgives him and walks away.
When dame gets out the ring hes taken his gloves off and doesn't even have wraps on... it's the little things
Valkyrie, Killmonger & Kang all chilling in the boxing world
And this when the rivalry started. This was movie was dope. Congrats to mbj for his first film directed
Ohhh man!! I can't wait to purchase Creed III To add to my Rocky and Creed collection. And sit and watch it at home. Alone so I can enjoy this awesome movie. And I can tell, if they'll be a Creed IV. 🥊 🥊
Its absolutely amazing. No lie.
You can watch it on UA-cam if rent it
@@MrJkboy21 Ohhh made my night. Didn't know it would be released that fast. Will be relaxing and watching it tonight. I'll still purchase it on Blu-ray. I collected all my Rocky and Creed DVDs. Thanks Laid-back. 🥊 🥊
its actually pretty good
Damian was true, I like his character,
Dame wanting to go straight to a title shot while not even being a pro is so unrealistic and impossible. Even Adonis had 12-15 pro/exhibition matches before he got a shot.
This the thing tho. He was already cold then. This was your boy. I would gave him a shot. Adonis was scared
The only thing close that I could think of was Lomachenko winning a world title in his third pro fight.
Its happened in real life.
Conor got a shot at Floyd right? Ok then
@@Ishbikes bro everybody already knew who Conor was! 😂 Dame was a complete nobody.. fresh out the pin lol. That has NEVER happened!
This looks like it'd be a good movie. Ima have to check it out.
Adonis was the villain of this movie. Didn't make sense to me why he never reached out to Dame during his prison time. He didn't need hidden letters to write him. Bad writing when u really think about it. Adonis was a bad friend who abandoned Dame
How were Felix Chavez and Victor Drago in the same weight class? Drago looks like he has like 90 pounds on Chavez. Do weight classes in boxing allow for 90 lbs differences?
In real life the Actor who played Felix is actually a welterweight, so yeah you arent wrong about the size difference lol, idk why they decided to make his character a heavyweight maybe it was to show he just had good skill and power to get to such a weight class?
Yeah it was a stretch for sure. Also seems weird to Adonis is considered heavyweight too
Once you get to heavyweight. There’s no limit in that class
Creed and Dame ❤
From B to ET it’s enough to boosts somebody’s ego
Cant wait to watch II
I might be the only one noticing this, but at the background of this scene in 0:47 , you can see the Afro Samurai, at first I thought it was a tree but now that I see it clearly, it’s the actual Afro Samurai himself!
This was such a great movie.
At this point, I would've dropped Damian for good. He's showing you he hasn't changed.
Everytime Felix called him grandpa I was dying 😭😭😂
4:03 I think the scene should’ve went with Dame swinging and dropping Felix. Just to show how brutal his character was
If he did that then creed wouldnt have set up the fight between them
That would be cool!! And also, the storyline would also add when Damian would swing and drop Felix, ultimately giving him a broken jaw and a concussion!!! To show lil Duke and Adonis how even more dangerous and an serious threat to the boxing world Damian is!!! I think after winning the world title Damian would go on a vicious KO streak as well running his record up to 10-0!! Damian would get signed to a big boxing promotion and he would be the star and talk of boxing!! And then, the movie would have the big fight between him and Adonis towards the end!!!!
"It's Kangin Time" should be Damien's response after Adonis gave him a title shot.😂😂😂😂
Meu sonho é ser boxeador profissional 🥊❤️
I had Damien's back throughout the whole movie he wasn't wrong ! And I'm lovin that Jersey hanging on the wall best Center in NBA History.. SHAQ
He could have wrecked Victor's career with that attack and now his goon friend in jail .. but his desire to get back at Donny was understandable .
He was wrong and understanding at the same time but let's be real he had a right to feel the way he did because he did time for having Creed's back .. But these guys are clearly not Heavyweights with the exception of Viktor Drago this is a major mistake in the movie !..
Clearly Wilt, The Captain and Bill all ahead of Shaq
@@scottbarnett3566 Wilt played in a weak era ! And Shaq has the best highest efficiency rating out of any center in NBA History
I know people always say what if-but what if Shaq was 50 lbs lighter? Would he be as dominant? He had no hook shot, bank shot, fade away, could not make a free throw. Had no outside shot whatsoever. What would or could he do? Was he dominant yes but cuz of his size. But to say he was a better player than Wilt, Jabber, Hakeem is just plain ludicrous
