I love all the gentle chord vibrato work that Steve does... Feels like a vibrato pedal is on, but the touch of his approach is more delicate and emotive than just a pedal. 1 of 1000 things I dig about his playing...
I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed that about his playing either. It adds so much. I love it!
Such a delightful performance! Deep, boogie'n bow to Kimock, Son John, & Friends.
So I'm at a Zero show at Santa Cruz catalyst.... Kimock. Is tuning up and I'm standing with his speaker between me and him... I'm on a black Pyramid.. He looks into my eyes while hes tuning and I have a Huge smile on my face...huge! I hold up my copy of psychedelic guitar circus for him to sign... Hes looking right into my eyes and we both have huge grins.... She finishes tuning and puts his guitar down and signs my CD... then hands the CD to Bobby... Who hands it to judge Murphy... Judge Murphy says to me I don't think I was on this album but all sign it anyway and we both laughed yes I have the CD...:)
Yoooo, the black pyramids with the gold splattered or dripped over them slightly? If so I remember them clearly. Top notch doses lol.👍
Check out Forgotten Space with Kenny Withrow playing. He can do a mean Jerry
' I hope he gets the help he needs... '
It's fun to see the jazzier side of Chimenti's keyboard playing 🔥
I am not a big fan of Jeff with Dead and Co. (not that I think it sucks or anything) but here, he is pure magic. Some of the best work I have seen him perform.
This is gloroius! Thank you to the Kimocs, Chimenti, and Mathis! This is what we need right now. Such thoughtful and deliberate notes played by all. I love seeing Steve always searching for his tone, changing things as his ear leads him on the journey. And the spontaneous smiles when things are cooking. More like this!
1:37 brothers and sisters!!!!! incredible! KIMOCK RULES!
Seen (and more often, heard) Jeff Chimenti many times with GD bands - this is his real element. Impressive!
I SO agree, he excels here. Some truly amazing playing
Ty to K for ALL THE YEARS you have polished my thought jewels...and after losing my adopted son, I view John Morgan and your bonds..wow..you are very very lucky..and ty again and again
This is lovely. I've not really dipped my toes into the pool of Kimock other than The Other Ones. Subtle and nice to hear Chimenti step out.
Zero was a great Kimock band too. Check them out.
Rocken sweet awesomeness! Thank you so very much for spreading smiles and fun. 💓
Steve is the favorite on my list, It's Up To You says it all.
THANKS ALL involved in making this happen! Planning on ordering the downloads this week as well as the Denver 2017 show/s.
I just had my first live Kimock experience last night. Truly amazing and already need more. Thank you for everything.
Nice! Welcome to the Kimock flock! What show did you hit?
most excellent indeed - really love the "promised land" - and - yes - totally excellent from beginning to end - this is the stuff that helps make it all worth while - takes meh back to a forgotten place in a forgotten time - so many almost familiar melodies so delicately woven into this tapestry - makes meh think - "live it and love it - when & where & while you can - it doesn't come around verry often" . . .
Now. These guys can play.
Timestamps, for after you've watched this entire majestic production front to back, which you should do right now if you haven't, and you need to return to a specific song:

Not sure who introduced me to kimock but I’m lucky they did
Soooooo Good!
26:26 hear it to believe it, keep listening....fat grooves...that's some serious tweakin', and then comes the Mathis/kimock/Chimenti percolation with insane fender Rhodes punctuation.
This stuff smokes.
Music starts at approximately 2:41
other people use stars to rate something...I use 🍻🍻🍻🍻🍺🍷😊
OMG, the Ice Cream! Steve is just channeling Vince Guaraldi to Bitches Brew! Sorry, I haven't seen this video before now. Better late than never.
is that a stapler he's got?
Ebow lol.
Please tell me the song name from 1:49:00 started.I like this song so much. But I don't know this song.

@@jellyfishrising I believe it's actually 'Invocations 1' - ua-cam.com/video/D_8ZmOPS6rU/v-deo.html
After 3minutes of Mayer I had to find something to get my three minutes back
adam hirshon drums
if thats john morgan he looks so different
It is John Morgan! He is really incredible in this setting
So you think Steve has his son wrongly credited on a video on his own channel? Brilliant.
homeopathic blood pressure medication😶🌫
Well I’m 23 minutes in and this is just OK. I think I enjoy him more when he’s jammin with my other favorite bands or covering Grateful Dead. It’s good playing but it’s just like a big noodle.
Steve quoted Jerry Garcia as calling Zero "elevator music" so you can only imagine what he'd have thought of this!
Hope you finished that second set
It's a big jazzy noodle 😂
If you think it’s a big noodle you aren’t hearing it. Most of Kimock’s music is very composed actually. Sure there is a ton of improv too but it’s all within a theme for every tune. I would be super surprised if someone like Jerry didn’t like what he does. He was open to all kinds of styles……he was also super sarcastic so that quote definitely could have been in jest. I mean, he did play with Kimock a bunch of times. He certainly had the choice of who to play with so he didn’t have to do that.
@@jellyfishrising Jerry also publicly stated in an interview that Kimock was one of his favorite players.
