That's kinda how the Guitar Hero franchise has always been. I consider myself to be above-average, so Hard Difficulty is the perfect fit for me, since its challenging but still fair.
My perfect soulless 5 chart is the "easy" parts of hard difficulty, and the "hard" parts of medium difficulty. When I was younger I was really good at guitar hero, but now if I play for more than like 10 minutes of a hard song, my hand starts cramping up
Heh, I've missed the Guitar Hero hype train when it first released, and only recently picked it up for myself. And yes, my hands hurt really badly if I try to play any hard/expert song, and well, my gameplay looks more like random button presses than anything :P
I totally agree with you. Hard looks really fun to play, however, there are a few parts I would like to scale down the difficulty for my own entertainment.
Easy and medium are kind of what I expected, like if you’re doing easy, it’s going to be EASY, if you’re doing medium it’s kind of what I feel the general public might do, hard is sped up just a little bit more and is slightly more difficult... And then there’s EXPERT
Absolutely. I consider myself to be above-average with Guitar Hero, and Hard Difficulty is the perfect fit for me. Expert is just way too over the top and unforgiving!
Honestly, I'm pretty good at guitar hero, but expert on this song is a league of it's own. Hard though, it's actually beatable without months of practice. Maybe like a solid week.
Exactly! I'm not the kind of person who is an immortal God because they only plays Guitar Hero and nothing else, because I have a full-time job and I attended Graduate School. So Hard is basically the perfect fit for me because its fair and reasonable, but still a challenge.

@@DACARBOSS. playing with keyboard is harder than guitar "on expert" because you cant use your strumming hand on frets. you can press fret buttons only with one hand. i've been playing guitar hero for almost 6 years with keyboard (holding the keyboard as default like piano. not like a guitar) and i realized that Through the Fire and Flames on expert difficulty is the limit on a keyboard. you can't go beyond that. also, i think soulless 5 on hard difficulty can be FCed with a keyboard.
I'm curious how the undercharts would look under Rock Band 3 rules (Easy and Medium must use all lanes used in Hard and Expert, but the extra lanes can be used more sparsely than the standard lanes for those difficulties)
I play easy for now since I still play with a keyboard until I get my adapter, but as soon as I get one I'm gonna move up to medium and when that's mastered I'll try hard, expert seems like I'd have to completely degen myself

Honestly I wish the easy and medium charts were harder; like in McHaggis-Man's easy/medium chart of Soulless 4
mchaggis' medium chart is good for a player in the limbo between medium and hard s5 charts
I mean, when you have a song as hard as soulless 5, easy difficulty definitely deserves to have a higher difficulty alone, yeah.
True
Medium definitely could use a buff in some parts. As an amateur gh player some of the parts seem just right or a little too hard.
Maybe use Rock Band style Easy/Medium where blue and orange get involved too.
