I get annoyed when some people jump to conclusions. Yongjin was just trying to make it funny since it's such an old story most Koreans know already. The real story has already been talked about ages ago on a more serious talk show (Radio star, etc.) They were close friends but Doyeon felt something for him. She is a pretty and good woman but feelings don't always reciprocate. He meant the meal as a friendly invitation but Doyeon was too in love and started aggressively asking him out afterwards (her words, not mine). It was different from her typical behavior so he saw through her and politely turned her down. He felt somewhat uncomfortableI think as well since she was just a driend who suddenly saw him as a potential love partner. Narae tipped him off about it as well so they could talk about it better. After that they still got along since nothing serious really happened. Like what Doyeon said, she wouldn't have stopped if something did happen but it was pretty one sided. Yongjin tried to not replay the details too much since he already has a girlfriend of 6 years and it can be hurtful for Doyeon to keep hearing about the story. If you notice, he never initiated nor prolonged the story. The others wanted the deets so they asked Sechan and Saeho instead. Don't judge when you don't know the whole story, please. Thanks.

Oh my god. Yikes @ the toxic people hating on this guy calling him ugly or smth... Personality can still matter over good looks. There shouldn't be anything wrong with having that perspective.

woow i didn't even see replies to this comment until now. i wasn't calling him ugly but iirc some of the comments here called him or implied that he was too ugly for her or something, which is why i made that comment in the first place calling them out. i said it wrong in the original comment so i'll edit it :)
Yongjin is super witty, even gorgeous actresses like RM's Jihyo and Somin are charmed by him. You can really tell who's damn shallow in the comments who literally only look at looks.

Many people say Lee Yong Jin arrogant person.. I DON'T AGREE WITH THAT OPINION 😠 I'm sure his arrogance is just a character he plays in comedy..
I can see his true nature when he's in 2D1N, it looks like he can position himself as an intern.. for example, when the members need property to play games, (for example) they need a basin of water for each game, he is the only one in the member who is busy fetching water in the basin other than the staff, while the other members are busy talking in front of the camera..
Another thing, when he gets a small amount of food that the other members give him because he has played the game and won it, he is happy to share that little meal for the other members who are not allowed to eat..
From there I can judge its true nature ❤️

Yongjin is innately funny as a comedian but sometimes I feel off.. And sometimes there's tension between him and other guests lol
I feel that too I think it's because he treats things a tiny bit too seriously like when people are laughing their heads off and jokingly scoffing at him he doesn't laugh along too much

I can't stand him at all. He is so arrogant
I'm not sure about 'tension' because from the interview basically what came through is that the 4 comedians there (Seho included) are very close friends. But I can get a sense of what you mean, like it doesn't always 'flow' although he's so witty. I agree with 'Asia Lee' that it may be because of his reactions when others talk about him. I see a lot of criticism for Seho but I noticed that when Yongjin or others give a funny/'negative' story about him, he will take it (and of "try" to correct it but at least let them finish, and if he can't correct it, he accepts it as variety). But for Yongjin, throughout this ep, he kept trying to correct others' story about him instead of accepting some differences as variety. So it interrupted the flow a bit and made him seem too serious. I like him a lot more in 2D1N though, I think he fits well so far and is sufficiently participative and witty.

He feels big not having earned anything to feel that way. Yoo Jaesuk Shin Dongyup Kang Hodong, why are they the big 3 it's because they worked their asses off knowing the struggle of being a nobody. This guy on the other hand was blessed with such chance after chance working with top players seemingly right out of the gate and its gone over his head thinking that he's already made it not knowing that he's only a sidekick and doesn't actually have what it takes to run his own program.
If you haven't noticed, he's been retrained by YJS. He's no longer looking to throw out stories or comments just to get screen time...and he has taken the role of being the butt of jokes. I still don't think he's that funny, but he's funnier because he plays well with others now.
