It would be best if u put some ointment on his eye, they have some that are fly resistant to keep the flies off of the wound. Y’all should make sure u have some on hand for things like that. That is if u don’t have some. U should check around to see who’s they might be someone is missing there horses. Thanku for being u and for doing what yall do ❤

You might want to put some of that blue coat spray (I think thats what its called)
on that cut so it doesn't get infected.
Romeo was such a good boy he protected the animals and the property and his people
Stephanie those look like mules, you may want to spray an antiseptic on the cut so the cut doesn't get infected I'm thinking you guys need a strong fence to keep Bushwacker on your property so nothing happens to him

The cut was probably from a mule kick. I'm impressed that he was able to run off 4 large mules.
Hi family, Romeo was brave and did a great job with the trespassers. He should get some medical attention for that big cut by his eye. Maybe clean it out and figure a way to keep flies out of it.

U should clean that cut.but it looks like it might need a few stitches. Shouldn't be left open like that flies can lay eggs in a open cut. Than u will have problems with the pony. U really don't want a infection setting in that cut
Those were some very pretty horses. Hope the owners find them and get them contained properly/safely. Sure wish you had that extra property.😄 When you can wash it out and peroxide that wound on Romeo. Badger looked like he was stalking you---but in a fun and happy way. They all acted like "don't bother me, I am grazing".

Wild horses will take over your ponies. They are dominant. Keep an eye out for them. They can do alot of damage.

Romeo is little but he’s mighty he didn’t care how big them horses were he just knew they didn’t belong. I hope that the cut is going to be okay. Looks like you’re going to need a regular cow pasture/ fencing to keep Bushwacker home . Love the new turkey he’s friendly ❤. God bless

Oh Bushwacker would be so grounded! 😂🤣 Other animals are now getting hurt because of his constant escapades, time for a Bushwacker proof pen! Lol. He’s a bull and the last thing you need is him doing as he pleases especially as he grows and gains more muscle. Poor little Romeo trying to protect his family. Hope he’ll be okay. I think you'd best think of those mules as " visitors " rather than trespassers especially since you aren't worried about your own intact male bovine being out visiting the neighbours heifers! The " gate" was knocked down from your side after all 😅

WTG, Sir Romeo the Faithful Knight! The way those horses were kicking, Romeo might have caught a glancing blow from a hoof. Id put some antibiotic ointment on it to keep the flies off of it.
Why not put up a regular gate in that back pasture? If those horses had a mind to, they might knock your gate down.

Poor Romeo. He's such a good pony. I'm not to sure if he was chasing the mules/horses off or getting friendly with them. I couldn't tell if they were males or females. If they were females, Romeo could have been after them for another reason. Hopefully his scratch will heal no problem. If you have some salve you could put on it to help heal it faster and keep out any infection.🤷🏻♀️ Just a thought.

I was thinking the same thing they look kind of like mules. They could be hinnies. Mules from a cross between a donkey mother and stallion. Mules are from a donkey father and a horse mare. Hinnies are more rare but they also look a little different than mules. Often the ears aren't as big and they may have more horse characteristics.

Stephanie you and Romeo make a good team of horse wranglers. He got them through the gate, and you keep them from coming back through the gate. I was thinking what ryhmed with lady and i think brady so the turkey dosent get too confused. 🤠...... also some bag balm on the animals eye will keep it from getting infected and will help heal it. I had a cat that had a foxtail that went in its face and it popped and half the cats face was gone. i put bag balm on it and it completly healed and even the hair grew back. i was amazed. of course i would keep it away from the animals eye.
