If you guys remember what Floch said in season 3 when he brought Erwin to Levi, he said along this line, "The reason he survived must be to bring the Devil to face their enemies". At that time it was Erwin, and now the Devil is Eren. He has been pretty consistent in his view.
You're misinterpreting Reiner's character if you think his main motivation to rescue Falco is to have him inherit the Armored. Remember episode 3 where seeing Falco made Reiner stop his suicide attempt? The kids are the only ones motivating him to live.

The Panzer Unit, the team who ride the Cart Titan into battle, are Marleyans. They don't wear armbands. So their relationship with Pieck is pretty admirable all things considered.
And they all simp for her, right? One even kept a pic of her in his gun turret. That must create a lot of cognitive dissonance; these boys were indoctrinated all their school years and military life that Eldians are dirty and evil - and yet here's Pieck. It reminded me of the secret 'forbidden simping' some Aryan Germans held for Jews in the '30s. And we know Marleyans have trists with Eldians, like Reiner's dad, although that seemed more like him taking advantage of a young girl (not r ape) from a lower social status.
I love how the whole season Gabi was just yelling that she would kill Eren but when she actually met him she's just terrified 😂😭😂
In that specific situation, how was she going to kill him while being completely unarmed?

Reminded me of Eren from way back in season 1 when he'd say he was gonna kill all titans only to end up crying on his way back from his first expedition lol
love her or hate her Gabi's role in the story is extremely important. she doesnt only parallel Eren she also parallel's Reiner in a way. we didnt get to see both Reiner and Eren's journey of understanding the "other side". most of their time spent being undercover was off screen. Gabi's journey serves as like a speed run to understanding Reiner and Eren's journey being undercover in Marley/Paradis. It sort of deepens Eren and Reiner's characters by showing us first hand her conflicting ideologies that the other two had also probably been through.
Gabi never lost her whole family like eren nor did she get ate by a titan and found out she ever ate her own father,she's No where near parallel of eren,had she really been the same eren would've done the actual same thing that Reiner did,but to Reiner's family personally
I disagree when people call Gabi the parallel of Ere, she is not, she has similarities with him but they are two different personalities for sure.
drawing parallels between two characters doesn't mean that they go through the EXACT same situations or have the EXACT same personalities. drawing parallels is to compare and pin point things that are alike to deepen or further explain the morals/themes story when analyzing. in that case there are many similarities in the stories of Gabi, Eren and Reiner. nobody is saying that they are the exact same characters who went through exactly similar circumstances.

Eren’s bloody hand is the same thing he did with Reiner in Marley. It’s a warning not to do anything stupid, like a loaded gun.
He’s like “Don’t do anything stupid or I’ll transform and blow you up”
Eren told Hange when he was locked in the cell that he had the Warhammer. With Floch, I feel like he was always supportive of the seemingly straightforward response; for example, saving Erwin over Armin. With that mindset, Eren being in control of things is the most obvious choice so I think that's why Floch is following him.
Edit: Floch is a sheep, I think we can all agree on that.
Floch believes that they need a "devil" to lead them. Originally, that as Erwin. Now, it's Eren.

I don't know if this needs to be cleared up or not, but imma say it anyways. So, when King Fritz fled to Paradis, he said that if anyone were to invade or attack he would unleash the millions of colossal titans in the walls. But we know that was a lie he and said that to deter/delay an attack, that he felt was justified. Now that Eren and Zeke found a way to use the founding titans powers (control the titans in the walls) without falling under his influence of pacifism, they were going to actually use the titans in the walls to defend Paradis in the event of an attack. Since Zeke came to Paradis, a small test run of the Rumbling (mobilizing the colossal wall titans) was supposed to take place using the titans in the outer wall of Shiganshina. So to clarify, the Rumbling is releasing the colossal titans in the wall to destroy the world. Fritz was lying about using it. Eren and the Paradis military intended to use it as a defense, until the people from Hizuru modernized their nation and they didn't need it anymore. Which is why the royal family (Historia) would have to continue their bloodline and inherit a titan that isn't the founding(Beast titan). And Eren would also have to pass on the founding titan, though that could go to any Eldian, but in this plan it would probably be someone in the military. Wow, I think this is the longest comment I ever left and now no one's gonna read it, because people don't like to read. Or this is information they already know. I don't even know if I should stop. I've already made it this long. Do you think there's a record for the longest UA-cam comment? I wouldn't try to break it here though. I'm getting bored of writing thus already. Ok bye.

Something I started to think, is that if the plan to continue passing the Titans were actually adopted, it's very likely, actually a matter of time, before the founding Titan falls into the hands of some psychopath who would use his powers to become some sort of king of eldia and attacking the world as it was done in the past. That said, the original ending without the extra pages is more satisfying to me, because it's possible to imagine that eren at least managed to end the curse of the titans.
I think the motives are diffrent for both zeke and eren Than what you mentioned

I love the fact that Eren uses a cut on his hand to make everybody feel as if he's pointing a gun at them at all times, ready to "pull the trigger". It really shows how crazy he's become. (Obviously not trying to sound like a psycho when I say that lol I'm just loving the writing and how the author can create such tense situations)
He's not crazy he just knows his "friends" don't trust him anymore,and don't understand him because they see two people of their race in a world that want them to live,while the large majority of others want them dead,and think words (just because these people aren't titans) will solve this war, or some petty verbal threat made by eren to the world would save them

FACTS eren was a cry baby in season 1-3 and man turned into a demon in one season, the writing on Eren in season 4 is amazing i hate how they did him in the ending tho
Eren didn't advice Floch to kill the premier Zachary. I also don't believe he was part of the wine/spinal fluid plan.
Floch always wanted to follow Erwin, because he was willing to sacrifice anything he could to win. So Eren gave Floch those vibes back in Marley when he attacked and forced the scouts into action.
Such a hard hitting episode 😓. Absolute madness in the restaurant!! I'm also glad that Niccolo and Kaya were ready to stab Gabi, but Mr. Braus coming in with the wisdom. Floch with the complete 180, and that creepy ass smile lol.. Good job picking up Zeke's story is a lie

This brings a new layer of morning to Sasha's death...
Hearing the words of Sasha's father, I felt that what the world needs right now is to end the cycle of hatred, rather than seeking retaliation against the enemy.
This does require a lot of courage, though.
I felt as if I learned that true strength is found in kindness.
Can't wait for the second half of season 4, it's going to blow your minds.

About floch. If you remember in season 3, he said we need a devil to lay waste to the titans (erwin at the moment), and now in season 4, he said we need a devil to defeat our enemies and he referred to eren as this devil that they need.
He uses the hand cut to make people feel like hostages. They'll give him the stage without a thought to try and pull a fast one. He did the same thing to Reiner. Plus if he gets injured or incapacitated he can transform without needing to go through motions

Floch is a great character, you can hate him but you can’t deny that. I like him a lot.
He went from being a coward to a top ranking officer in the Jaegerists. He’s an extremist but he puts his home and the people he grew up with over anyone and anything else.
Eren chose him because he's filled with hate for his enemies but to be honest he's just full of himself and so fed with the revenge idea, which is why people hate him but like you said he's a well developed character not a good one though.

Falco is a lot more intuitive when it comes to things outside combat than Gabi is.
Presumably, Zeke spread the story of how his spinal fluid causes paralysis to lull people into thinking that they would know if any of their food or drink had been spiked.
That way, the Eldians in Paradis would be less suspicious of any food and drink they were given, since they would assume that any tampering would be immediately obvious.
Just know that Flock is like a full on patriot. He loves his country and he always says they need a devil to take the Eldian to victory. Flock had said that they need a devil like Erwin who charges towards enemy with everything on line and now he is seeing Eren as that Devil who will bring freedom to his country. I did like his character alot.
I respectfully disagree. Floch isn't a patriot; he's a nationalist. He's using force, intimidation, and violence to control people who disagree with him. He's asserting authority through fear and brutality and seems to enjoy terrorizing people. A patriot is proud of his country for what it does; a nationalist is proud of his country no matter what it does. Patriotism inspires a sense accountability for your actions and unity while nationalism breeds blind arrogance, devotion, and superiority and that's the general attitude that's coming from Floch and the yeagerists.

However, as I said his devotion to something he believes in is unparalleled that's having him on your team is a big asset. Also, I agree that Floch could be a nationalist but not all yeagerists are, you are just not seeing their side, if you don't act now then it would be too late hence they stand behind a nationalist Floch who can and will go to any lengths to protect what he believes in. I don't like Floch but man his character is written so good and I love that. So, yeah I think he is a nationalist, still they captured the character well and oh the madness he does, everyone would be mad when he would do it in part 2, i was mad too but i was also like, "Damn this guy is going to full length." I had to respect him for that crazy shit lol even though he did alot of wrong things which i still hate him for.
Sam forgets that having the Titan powers means you can only live up to 13 more years. That's not something I would wish on any of the main characters.

Floch made clear (at the end of Season 3) that he did not want his death to be meaningless. He clearly believes in the cause of protecting & ensuring the survival of the people of Paradis (& thus, defeating their enemies)…and so, he views Eren as a vital means to that end. Never doubt a man that can grin after surviving Zeke’s brutality.
Also, Floch was right: Erwin is worth more than a thousand dithering, perplexed Armins.
When you guys were confident when Mr Braus took the knife, I laughed imagining how shocking it would've been if he just straight up stabbed her lol.

22:56 - Just some clarification on the spinal fluid + freezing up + wine. Zeke's spinal fluid is special in the sense that it doesn't instantaneously transform Eldians into titans, courtesy of his royal blood. What it does is it makes his victims temporarily freeze up and pass out, and upon screaming/his command they can turn into titans.
Now, the reason why they put it in wine was that is was the perfect disguise for the titan fluid. When someone drinks the wine and passes out, it didn't cause alarm since it made people assume that the person who drank it just got drunk on it. But in reality, they're feeling the effects of the Zeke's fluid.

Here is a theory that is absolutely heartbreaking to think about. The theory is that when Sasha said meat she was actually trying to say Niccolo because meat in Japanese is "Niku" and Niccolo's name in japanese pronunciation is "Nikoro".

I've seen this theory quite often and it slightly bothers me. In the manga it's written with the kanji 肉 (niku) which literally means meat, no second readings or confusion about it. If it were to imply second readings they would have used kana (ニク) instead of kanji (肉). It's still a nice connection that Nikolo and niku sound so similar, and it may have been done intentionally, but aside from that Sasha was definitely saying "meat" and nothing else.
I think Yall are doing good paying attention, sometimes yall get things wrong but the others make sure to say whats really going on. yall are an amazing group.

The Panzer Unit, who rode the Cart Titan and the Gatekeeper, who shot by Sasha were all Marleyans.
Except for titan shifters and disposable Eldian soldiers, The Marleyan army is consists of Marleyans and soldiers from colonized nations like the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers.
The writing in this show is so good! I love Season 4 Eren. Also, lesbian party absolutely killed me🤣
Re confusion about the rumbling: there are 2 parts.
The world is worried about THE RUMBLING, which is if the founding titan releases all the titans in the walls and destroys the whole world.
Zeke's plan (as communicated by Yelena) involves a "test rumbling", to show the world a fraction of their strength. This is only intended as a deterrent for the next 50 or so years while Paradis builds up/modernizes the rest of their weaponry.
This is such an intense episode 😬

Sounds all nice and all, but flawed logic here. Sasha's father didnt choose this life and nether did rest of the citizens... But they too are going to or was going to meet this same fate Sasha did. This what justifies Erens actions mostly, sitting around and slowly taking action isnt going to help like what the military police are doing. Extreme actions were needed because soon enough Eren would die out and the world would atk. Atleast sasha died fighting back instead of just preaching to kids and diying in the end anyway lol

This circle just never ends. Most People take a side and root for them, and that side's mostly the Paradise. You are not taking a side and instead you're just trying to understand things from everyone's perspective. Most reactors take sides and that's where you think they're being hypocrite and it sure is but it didn't matter. It's not a bad thing.

Just remember that Sasha did kill the two marleyans trying to help her. All while her home town burned and her closest friends died in front of her. Add to that her hope for a happy future where the people of the world accept the gpod Eldians was crushed into dust. Just like Reiner lost his hope for a happy familly, the glory of becoming a hero, and his mission to fight the "evil" eldians were all taken from him, and all he had was to keep moving forward, because turning back would make all that sacrifice truly meaningless. Gabi is falling into the same patterns (Eren, Levi, Grisha, Mikasa, so on and so forth). In losing everything, the only choice she sees is to keep fighting, because to stop moving forward would leave her with nothing
