I think it's because Roman Catholics are visual believers, kaya nga meron mga rebulto ang mga simbahan nila for the "image". At dahil sa performance ni Pura Luka Vega parang it scarred them for life because sa "image" na naiproject nya.

The declaration as persona non-grata has no legal implications anyway. It is just a policital move... them politicians wanting the voters to know (and yes for fame) that they are on their "side."
Okay, so the status of persona non grata does not necessarily mean you are banned from entering said area/s. It just means that the local government and its citizens are displeased with said person being in their community. Think of it as a modern day Scarlet Letter.
IMO, i think the comedian is just laughing in their home enjoying all this clout and attention the Philippines is giving them.

Wala na talaga freedom of expression even those na nagdisagree sa ginawa na pura luka hinihate na din. We should learn to respect their opinion and their right to self expression. Bakit sasabihan na wag makiride sa opinion lang ng majority? E karapatan nila yun e. They have the right to say what they want. We should learn to respect the opinion of others. Instead na mangialam sa artistic expression ng iba which is makiride sa issue, why not focus on creating original artistic stuff. May mga content creators kasi na sumasakay lg kung ano yung viral. I think yung portion ng special should not be removed sayang yun it will double down sana sa issue. And will have a great effect sa special. 😔

As long as hindi sya pinaparusahan ng batas sa ginawa nya I wouldnt say na wala nang freedom of expression. Di mo din kasi masasabi kung ano magbblow up ngayon eh.
