Another quality review...😎 I once had a pretty good handle on how to use the Farragut, but for whatever reason, Mahan left me uninspired to continue the line...been enjoying Gaede a lot, however... I figure I'll get back to the US DDs eventually, but the Germans are just so much more flexible...

Thanks, Rev. I think I should have time to do a commander review this update, and yeah maybe revisit some old we ships too. There are a few I did way back when that have no history. May have to fix that.
Wasn't expecting much when I purchased this ship, but I've done quite well with it even in knife fights. Of course it helps that so many destroyer players won't use their guns and just try to torp you. Nice review!
From a Collector's point of view I like it, but like the T-61 and Know DD, I prefer the Tech Tree Equivalents and I have the complete USN DD line with The Smith my only Premium.......Give us The HMCS Haida eh!!! Great Review and GG eh!!!
It's hard to argue with free! Enjoy the ships (as much as you can). . . and actually Cossack got a buff since my review so, she's quite a bit better, overall.
Yeah. I am not sure how I feel about losing out on HE damage in American ships, because I like to hunt other DDs, and setting DDs isn't as important as direct damage to the ship and modules. I'll probably look into it more once the legendary skill rework is done.
@@tacticangel I understand that point of view. I am absolutely looking forward to that rework. So many commanders are only different because of the inspiration. However, twist and track doesn't make a DD a DD hunter in my opinion. I know people will fight me on this. That is ultimately a Mike Tyson vs Ali type of conversation.
@@NextEraGamer I'm about 50/50 on twist and track. Occasionally really useful, 90% of the time I feel like it tells me stuff I already know (or that I think I know, anyway 😎). I use Halsey because I like the extra damage. He's also the original reason I wanted to start "The Man, The Math, The Legend."
First of all, like many other ships i think monaghan is going to get more popularity ones carriers arrive due to its multi use main battery. Second of all, has it become some sort of trandition to mention preset one and two in every single review😂. And lastly, what is your opinion on the new upcoming update any brief opinion you got on it that you may wanna share or atleast anything on Scharnhorsts blueprint bigsis Odin? Id be curious to know...
I know I'm late But Arleigh Burke full AA build makes this ship shine in carrier games You get a nearly 7km flak bubble I've been revisiting lower tier DDs trying to find builds for carrier divisions And Monaghan is a total team player in that field
I find the survivability of this ship to be very low when I get spotted by a destroyer and then shot at by a bigger ship. Most of the time I can only escape with a smoke screen.
Finally get my TacticAngel fix. Great content as always, please quit your job/divorce your wife/sell your kids as necessary to increase your output. Many thanks in advance ;)
Well, the only option I have to me there is quite my job, but that probably wouldn't lead to a sustainable channel. I do appreciate the sentiment though, lol. 😎
Very quietly, I think WG has changed all "Hydroacoustic Search" consumables into "Sonar." I'm not sure when, and I know they did it, but I still call it "Hydro" sometimes.

The Fletcher is worth it.
The Mahan is the only real let down in that line. Benson and Fletcher are fun as hell.

I have some good games but when larger ships attack me, it's usually over very fast.

I think it will be great to see how you like Burke as you level him up. He does get access to a fire chance perk.

I love the long range torpedoes of this. Still good enough to assassinate battleships from range.

Torp. Boat is insane with this
...well... I don't know about insane, but Gleaves was a big bonus for this ship.
