Andy IS working, but doing music for TV cartoons. Whatever gets you through the night, I guess. I'm glad Roger Manning is continuing to share his music. He's working on a new solo album. Maybe Andy will surprise us all and do a long awaited solo album too!
Well, what to say. Gorgeous chorus. Who else could write and peform that but Andy Sturmer? Good lord we could use a little more of his music in this world.
I have always wondered if Andy knows how badly his fans would like to see anything from him, even a recent picture, or if he just completely stays away from any of it. Meanwhile, the best we can do is buy the stuff he does for cartoons (I do love the Winnie-the-pooh song he did where he actually sings)!
Every Jellyfish video - Sturmer demo - interview - comments calling for Andy to come back. Honestly - I think Andy is in a no-win situation. I doubt he’d ever want a simple Jellyfish rehash/revival, and the pressure on them if they ever DID record again? Comparing any new work to Spilt Milk? Tremendous. I’d love to see a Jellyfish reunion as much as anyone, but I can see why he’s content doing music for animation.
Rusty Mackem Of course - it’s not that he COULDN’T do it. But Andy would have to readily be open to subjecting himself to that scrutiny - and he seems pretty reclusive. Also - ABBA had a much broader catalog - not a couple singular works against all would be measured.
Being one of those deluded folks: ( I cold called Omnivore and got through just to make sure my 3copies of each LP were definitely coming..haha) these demos are a treasure to hear.
In the biography "Brighter Day: A Jellyfish Story," Andy runs into Jason at a recording studio. Andy apologizes for how he treated Jason. Andy says he's married. I never realized how shy Andy is until I read that book. And it's a great book! Lots of questions answered.
I don't know if this song wasn't ready for prime time because it was a demo, or maybe it's true that Andy's music isn't quite genius without Roger. In any event, this song isn't quite up at that Jellyfish level.

Please Andy, come out of hibernation and start recording again!!

Great voice and 🎵
Roger told me that he hasn't heard a word from Andy since they split in 1994. Sad....

Hey, if Abba can do it ...!????? The pressure on Abba is a million times over any expectations of other bands in comparison.

I totally missed that and now I'm crying..wish I could get their albums on LP. I met Andy on the Spilt Milk Tour in 93.
So Good!!
I've got to loop this one .. makes me HAPPY!!
Where can we find this compilation CD? I just looked on Tower Records and it's not there and they have everything.
very catchy but i can't shake the feeling that this song should be like 12.5% faster than it is.
Maybe the lyrics to this song tell us why Andy's been hibernating? Maybe he's the Liquid Cassanova and he can't party anymore? Who knows?

Reminds me of summer.
