Hooked up my charger like this tonight. First time with an opportunity charger. Lift was at 8%....went from time left 2:14 to 80% to being complete in less than 5 minutes! Lift shows 100% now. Something can't be right....no way it charged in less than 5 minutes....but why would lift show 100%?????

The forklift may need a battery calibration to adjust to actual voltage. When connecting a battery that has just been charged it reads 100% but it’s going to drop quickly, you usually have to charge 6-8 hours depending on the state of charge. An opportunity charger does charge faster so be mindful of keeping the battery watered. It’s best to leave it charging overnight and allow the battery time to cool down before putting it back to service.

Contact Stryten the GNB battery and charger company near you. The technicians are familiar with the Applied Energy Quarter horse chargers.
