- Hello my fellow dweebs and welcome back to my Arcane reaction series! In this video I watch and react to season 2 episode 5, “Blisters and Bedrock”.
For early access to my videos, full length reactions and more: / alyciadweeb
Hi Alycia! Before the holidays roll around, I want to say thank you for everything that you do! There are thousands of people here whose lives you helped make so much brighter and I can't thank you enough! Merry Christmas!

You hear those rumbling noises Vander's making? He's purring. Not the same way cats do, but more like bears do when they comfort their cubs
This episode covers so much ground in the arcs of so many characters, and I think it's so good of Arcane to challenge us for sympathy, empathy, and compassion for all (if not most) of the characters. You did a great job unpacking the bits, and made a smart move not to make any predictions!
Also, small detail you may have missed: notice how Jayce's breath is visible in the confrontation, but Salo's isn't? Salo isn't breathing anymore. Whatever Viktor did to Salo and the others took away that part of their humanity.
Joining the others in wishing you a happy holiday, I also want to thank you for giving me something to look forward to each week. It's been a joy to go on this journey with you with all the series you watch, and I hope you know how much I appreciate your work! You do so much work for viewers to be able to enjoy these experiences with you, and it doesn't go unnoticed. Thank you so much!! Happy Holidays!!
Fun fact.... During Vi's opening fight montage, you can actually spot Jinx betting on Vi in the arena. Guess even after all that happened in Episode 3, Jinx is still keeping tabs on big sis. 😁😁
Singed's speech about Vander also applies to himself.
Much of what people say is how they view themselves or their life
Thanks for the reaction and like always one of the most observened reactors on the whole net. Like wow the head thing was insane.
3:30 From one mad genius to another, I feel Sokka would approve of Jinx's tasting the weird stuff growing on cave walls. 😁😁
“Well, at least they never had to see the psycho their daughter turned into.”
“Which one?”
Damn 😂
Jinx may be crazy, but she doesn't lie. Vi knows that, which is why she relents when Jinx shows up at the start.
I hope you and your family has a great Christmas, Alycia! Love you, your content, and have a happy new year!♥️🎄⛄️
Hope you have a great holiday Alycia!
12:27 - Alycia's brain reaches critical overload
One of the many S2 episodes that made me cry! Weeee.
This episode by far being the emotional equivalent episode that people either might relate or experience some big theme within the topic of “Family” out there 🥲 till the end of the surprise of Jayce Killing Silo.
This episode got the "most cry during first watch" award for me.
When you said you knew it was coming but weren't prepared for Vander recognizing Powder, I'm like oh she's not ready for the hug scene in Ep 5. I was a crying mess when I watched it for the first time
12:45 Same here! When I watched the "nothing to lose" clip, I thought Vi's pit fighter phase would be intense and longer, with her spiraling into alcoholism. Maybe even hooking up with someone else after Cait kicked her out. Then the season comes out and all the development is just the clip! I was disappointed, but at the same time, I get it, they didn't have a lot of screen time since the scope of the second season was bigger compared to the first.
Season 2 is the final season and it's so wild that it ended on Episode 5. Such a short season. Looks like we'll never know what happened to Jayce or why he splatted Salo like that. Meanwhile, I guess Vander, Vi, Jinx, and Isha stayed in that cave forever and they all lived happily ever after, with nothing bad ever happening to any of them ever again. 😇😇
Yes that is exactly what happened. No reason to look at anything after this episode.
I agree
This channel is how you end and start the year right
Small detail I saw on another reaction: in the flashback Vander's bracelet is the same as Violet's necklace at the beginning of S1E1.
Damn.
The way Caitlyn almost looks to have tears in her eyes as she looks at Singed's daughter in the pod, and the angles are almost identical to the shots of her looking into her mother's casket...?
"Why does anyone commit acts others deem unspeakable? ...for love"
Girl has to be questioning everything she's been doing all season if she can see a reflection of herself in a monster like Singed
Also, I really feel like this episode highlights the major differences between Ambessa and Caitlyn
Caitlyn looks at all the death and bloodshed in the prison and sees a tragedy. Ambessa sees an opportunity. Caitlyn looks at Singed and sees a monster that needs stopping. Ambessa sees an asset
Caitlyn starts this episode by making some prejudiced assumptions. That Jinx is responsible for the attack, that Singed is a Zaunite, that the beast and even Shimmer are the horrible creations of the undercity just like everything Zaun produces... But then instead of just accepting those assumptions as truth, she decides to investigate and in less than 24 hours learns NONE of that is correct. Singed is a Piltovan who is using the innocent people of the undercity as his test subjects
In comparison, we saw Ambessa last episode still assuming Jayce and Heimerdinger were taken by the Black Rose MONTHS LATER, even after her own most loyal soldier suggests it could be something else. Ambessa is always convinced she is right, Caitlyn is never satisfied with anything less than what is true and what is actually right
(Also, another assumption Cait made that was disproven this episode is that Ambessa wouldn't defy her orders and go behind her back to accomplish her own selfish goals)
"How is this going to go so so wrong?" 🤔
In Jayce case, don’t judge a book by its cover
Please do Creature Commandos
Can you do a hit monkey series
:3
Gruff Jayce is hot.
But he looks smelly...
