The Life and Legacy of William Tyndale | Dr. Peter Gurry

A lecture from April 9, 2022 on the importance of William Tyndale for the history of the Bible. Tyndale (ca. 1494-1536) was the first to translate the Bible into English from the original languages and he was burned at the stake for this conviction. This lecture covers his early training, his earliest translations of the New Testament (1525, 1526), his betrayal and arrest, his death at the stake, and his enduring legacy.
