Great movie! Today just arrived my Raptor from BFT, so the whole movie and sat with an uncovered stick! Although I didn 't make a single cast, the feeling of presence didn't leave me!
Congrats on the trip and I am sure many more large Pike will be caught in the upcoming days. This is a trip that most of the worlds' fishman will never get to experience.

Hey Mille! What an great catch! But: 17:41 Don't you guys know that you can damage the protective layer of a fish when you lift it into the boat in the net? It makes them more vulnerable for fungal diseases. Please never do that. The pikes will thank you. :)

Crazy that a lake that shallow doesn't freeze out in the winter. In Minnesota USA we also have large pike and whitefish but I am not aware of them living in shallow water, especially whitefish. Super cool to be that remote. I love the enthusiasm. "YEAH DUDE!"
great video, love your enthusiasm. I have to say I have grown tired of lacerated knuckles while pike fishing so I always wear a soft leather glove on my left hand while unhooking pike.
Nice video and what a fantastic place to fish but a little to remote for me. About the weight of the fish, they would have been considerably heavier before spawning as I understood they had been doing this already under the ice. If you catch pikes like this at my place in Holland in February and March you would be surprised about the gigantic bellies these fish have. I have even problems to hold them to get them proper on photo and I have quite big hands. But fantastic video and catch and release is of course our credo!

The biggest fish I caught in a lake was 121cm and weighed 20.3 pounds. Canadian lakes are a lot like Russia so similar even in how it looks

In Canada, we sometimes call pikes Jacks. At least in Alberta and Saskatchewan. No idea why!! 😂😂
We call small pike in England jack pike because the males are alot smaller than the females and only grow to around 10 pounds.
