Oh i enjoyed this video a lot, as Paderborn is the city I grew up in. Thank you for sharing! Some things to add: The Dom (cathedral) as it it today is actually the fith version of it, as it burnt down several times during the centuries. What we see today is mostly from the 13th century. One of Paderborn's most iconic landmarks is actually to be found in the Dom. It's the Drei-Hasen-Fenster, three-hares-window. It's a small circular window with three hares placed inside of it with their ears meeting in the middle. They all have got two ears individually, but in total it's just three. It's assumed to be a symbol of fertility. A little bit beneath and behind the Dom is a small hall behind a window. It was the throne hall of Charlemagne. If you look up Paderborn on a religions map, it's actually a little catholic place sourrounded protestants. In fact, protestants were so rare, when I grew up, that I thought of them like unicorns and leprechauns 😅 Paderborn is surrounded by mountainy areas, which results in more rain. The rain seeps through the sandy grounds that filters the water on the way. It reappears in one of the more than 200 springs that named the city of Paderborn ☺️
Looks like a very nice place. We loved Germany.
God bless
