Making tracks to 40 - 40 Years of Thomas and Friends

40 years ago today, Thomas the Tank Engine and his puffed their way onto our screens, after being written about in the ever popular Railway Series written by the Rev.W.Awdry. In the books Thomas wasn't the main character, but Britt Allcroft, who adapted the stories for TV, noticed that Thomas was the most famous so the series was named after him. From models, to CGI, to animation Thomas is still going today. And that familiar theme tune, is still one of the most recognisable theme tunes ever
