My female ringneck parrot comes out the cage but she scares from me and runs away. Often she sits on my finger in the cage but not out of the cage please tell me what do i do.
I got a bird that's a year old, and is very very scared of us, i take all the care that it gets good food and good care and don't perform any kind of activities that scares him, though it automatically comes out of the cage when the doors are opened but still its scared of getting near me.
Hi, I had a ringneck female parrot, she s an adult one, almost 4months she s with us still she s biting me and won't come to my hand, she had food on my hands but other than that she won't allow me to touch her.. How can I train her??
Hi.. i have a 15 day old baby ringneck and my concern is this... in what do i keep him and with what do i keep him warm? This is my first time ever taking care of a baby bird this small. I'd appreciate all the advice and help i can get. Thanks
Hello Hardik i have two same small species that i got recently. they are so afraid and terrified each time i come close to their cage. i had them for almost a week and they just panic when i come to change water and food. kindly advise how to deal with them
Yes. They may take 1-2 months to settle. Spend more time with them. Take them inside the house and leave them on the floor free to explore near, where you sit.
Hardik Patel how to make them go out of their cage? I open often the cate and leave them. They got out only once but since then they never leave their cage. Thank you
Brother are your bird's wings clipped? Mine's are not and as soon as i take her out (its a five month bird) so not sure of gender yet, but we take it as a female, first she bites me harshly and doesnt come out, but if sometimes little luck is with me , she comes out and flies immediately off to the fan or curtain railing. Pl guide as to what i should be doing
We clipped their wings when they were 8 months but since then we didn't so wings grown back and now they both have full feather wings. Try to train your parrot with their favourite treat. Offer him either almond or sultanas to come out and feed by your hands. Divert his attention in such way and eventually he will stop biting. Check out my video when I train them not to bite. Hope that may help. Charlie and Mittu: ua-cam.com/play/PLlOf1Y7_5JVxOim04SWhcs4FKUVRT9af9.html
Hardik Patel Hi. I need a little help here. Mine is confusing me with stepping up on my fingers only at night when there is low/dim light in the room. She even comes and sleeps on my arm at night, Taking treats from my hands. But in the morning she becomes fierce again, not allowing me to step her up. Bitting my fingers even with treats in it. Yes one thing worth telling here is that i keep her close all day as I'm out for work and my wife doesn't open her up as she doesnt come back in the cage herself. So its only me opening her up and letting her out at around 7 p.m till 11 p.m Though im not at home in the morning and only have 3 to 4 hours to spend with her, i have tried everything to socialize her but she resists. She has picked up sounds like whistling and what you doing etc. Need your suggestion pls
Hello, I have 1 irn.. when I give him feed he eat/break down seed or nut but I never see him swallow. And also sometime I check his crop to see if he actually eat....most of time it's empty or some grain in there. Any tips on how to make him "eat".
Great video Hardik. I can send you my ringneck! She is almost 9 and with me for almost 3 months. She was never socialized or hadled much. She never had toys or treats. Little by little she is coming around. Now her bites are not to tear and pierce skin, but enough pressure to think you have been electrocuted. She no longer runs away from me, but will come towards me, not lunging or trying to bite, as long as my arms are down. She is starting to play with foraging toys. Question though: do your ringnecks spend a lot of time hanging upside down?
Hello bro I have a parrot which is very shy and scared whenever I put my finger inside the cage he doesn't bite me instead he just shout and only get scared in one part of cage .

Make sure you take them out of cage inside house until you tame them. Don't rush towards him. Don't jump. Don't shout. Call him in soft voice worth some treats.
