Fathom has those switched outlanes too, I didn't know KOS had them as well... I hear KOS unfortunately is a one-shot game but like you said- it's a Bally!
I am just about finished with my Kings of Steel. It's been a long job.
I'm trying to touch up the blue on playfield. Did you by chance do that and any idea if you remember the color match?
@@Roadsurfer2k11 I am not very good with color matching. But what I did was bought several different shades of blue acrylics at Hobby Lobby and got it as close as I could. you will have to play with the colors to get a match you will like. I think I ended up with about 6 different bottles of blue . Pick one of the standard colors that matches the playfield the closest and then lighten or darken it to get it as close as you can. It's a pain in the A#& !! Best of luck with it. On mine you can see where I touched it up, I am not really happy with it but it was the best I could do.
@@jetcom1121 thanks.. yup I'm heading to hobby lobby tomorrow. I saw Ron use ultramarine mixed with True blue for a blue on a machine similar color. I've been trying the last 2 nights on this but unfortunately the box kit I got turned out to be matte acrylic. So matching is more challenging with the duller color. I tried lots of techniques like dotting plexiglass to slide over the colors and adding lights, darks and purples. Using color wheels and checking online. I had no issues getting the creme color tho (5 vanilla drops to 3 yellow drop ratio). The blue has been a different league cause with lighting its more bright blue, but no light it's dark with purple in it. I'm heading to an art store also tomorrow morning to talk to real artists cause I never painted blends lol
the pro scene calls this game 'King of right target'. Get high scores by only shooting the right target. You can ignore everything else. :D
..and so began the start of the downward slide for pinball. Bally King's of Steel and others began cost cutting measures such as more stand up targets and less drop targets. Increased rollover switches and the lack of a left slingshot coil all signal a drop in sales and the need to increase profit margin. Had this one. Even with the budget playfield, the artwork was sweet and gameplay was brisk.
yeah it's a trip seeing how they saved money on some of them... i'm the type though I like about any game so I see the fun in it!
I'm just about to get mine out of its longtime storage in a few weeks. It will now finally go into my living room. I hope it still works or has only minor storage damages.

Unbelievable, 15 years in storage. I just checked if the transformer delivers all the correct voltages and the HV for the displays is ok. Plugged the backbox in, powered it on an the machine booted with no problem. All displays are perfect. I'm so happy.
I got this pin. Always thought it too forgiving when it comes to replays. At the end of a given game, you can end up with 2 or 3 replays. At the end of 5 games, you can expect up to maybe 10 replays racked up. I changed all of that on the settings to just give an extra ball. The only replay you can get is you have a match. Also, my special light at the top doesn't light.:(. Even after changing bub. That sucks because it's a pain to fit my fat body towards the back of the playfield to get a better look.
You're probably just better than the average player!
This pinball has an easter egg. When you shoot Ball continuously To the target on the right. You will score a ridiculous amount of points.
That's pretty cool, now i'll have to get good enough at aiming to pull that off :)

I have an old kings of steel that's has had a rough life can ya think You can repair it?
