On Friday I was in my office with coworkers looking at Model Y inventory in Korea. Thought the prices look very good. Tried to show my wife on Saturday and they were all sold.
FSD just drove me from Columbus Ohio to Baltimore MD then to DC in my 2024 M3 with LFP batteries. I had to charge twice. Many of the Superchargers are at Sheetz gas stations. There was 6 inches of snow a couple of days ago. Roads were mostly clear. There were some flurries in the mountains and some black ice. A few cars spun out. As for the FSD, it was really good. A few things scared me, but this is normal. Sometimes it acts assertive in merging conditions. Sometimes it would get stuck behind a slow car and not pass even though there wasn't any traffic. Ice was falling off a semi right in front of me but FSD didn't care. The cameras and windshield got very dirty from the road salt and spray from other cars. It was hard to keep the windshield clean so I gave up. FSD kept driving. It only turned on the wipers a couple times (didn't accomplish much). I kept an eye on the other cameras. They were very dirty. I could barely see the road through the dirt. But FSD kept going. Eventually it gave up and I did have to take over. I had to stop soon for a charge anyway so I cleaned the cameras there. I have pictures of the occluded cameras if you're interested.
I just joined your channel for the first time. I appreciate you telling us the bottom line in the first minute. Keep up the great work!! More to come...
It would be great if Elon dressed up as Dark Helmet and addressed legacy auto with a simple message regarding FSD licensing: "Resistance is futile. More cowbells".
This morning it was 5 deg. I had 90% battery so I didn't plug it in overnight. I hit the defrost a few minutes before I left. I only have a 4 mile tcommute. The Wh/mi went up to 960 so I turned the heat off. A little bit of frost over the camera wouldn't let FSD engage even thought was less occluded than my trip to DC. Don't you think all the cameras will need washer fluid or some other means of cleaning to be a real robotaxi? We can't have cars stopping on the side of the road all the time with people getting out to clean the cameras.
New Y definitely looks better than the old one but it still looks off to me. Putting that aside, all of the other new features make this the best car you can buy of any type.
Xiaomi has the chance to be first adopter of FSD. They know the tech challenge (as a software company) and know they are 5-10 years behind. They may continue to develop FSD equivalent for a while, but isn't going to destroy their incredible ramp by waiting for their own solution for five or more years. Xiaomi realizes one year is a long time, and five years is forever.
Something I never hear mentioned about vision only system, from first principles. Most people think cameras have the same vision we do. Visible light, as seen by humans, is only a small sliver of the overall electromagnetic spectrum from radio waves, to visible light, infrared, xrays, gamma rays, etc. Point is "vision only" cameras are able to capture a LOT more information than human eyeballs.
We have both a 3 and a Y. It's different strokes for different folks. I like the lower center of gravity in the 3, along with the overall sporty appearance. My wife likes the higher seating position.... and we both like the hatchback flexibility of the Y when we need to haul things.
It'll be a surprise. They're sick of the vapourware screams from the idiots. Vapourware isn't used as a phrase for Mary Barra's lies but hey, tall poppy syndrome. If you are the same as the weeds like gm is, your bs is under the radar.
@ They will be the biggest in China. And the Chinese car market will consolidate down to 4-6 majors just like the US, Japan and Europe. They will have to buy other OEMs because no one is going to partner with them after this.

this guy has no idea. just from a tooling standpoint I can basically guarantee they won't do a hatchback 3, or a long wheelbase MY. also a long wheelbase car would only really make sense in China, but probably not for 3/Y, maybe S, but even that isn't really luxury enough for that sorta treatment.
Why is not the company that is offering self driving cars is responsible for actions of said cars i.e. if it gets a ticket, or has an accident, the company is financially liable. End, nothing more is needed. No regulations needed.

Wow. I'd love to see the video. Hurraah
@dinojohn1 I've never uploaded a video to UA-cam. If I figure it out, I'll send you a link.

31:48 - Kia and the rest of the world will appreciate Tesla supercharging so much more when it finally comes
So much good news ❤
Good explanation of autonomy levels
Go Herbert!! Go Juniper!! Go Tesla!!
Go Hans!
@ Go JP!! 😎👍

I used FSD yesterday with a 1/2" of snow on the road. As soon as the wheels slipped, it disengaged.

@8:08 It's testing to pass _homologation._ Its just part of the process if you want to make and sell vehicles in a country...
The sales of the old Y were still reasonable up to December but now a much better version is available it is obvious that sales will rise.
Of course a lot of people were waiting to buy for the Juniper release. No surprise they’re jumping on it.
I hope we get an update on FSD licensing at Q4 earnings.

Okay, after 5 years they can catch up where Tesla is now.
Nobody realize where Tesla would be after those 5 years...
Hey guys what is the latest on unboxed manufacturing? Thx
They are not going to answer you.
You do know that BYD slashed prices starting price wars to undercut Tesla.

Yeah, that has been mentioned plenty of times.
Having good vision doesn't make one a genius, or even of average intelligence.
Having no vision makes you an analyst.@@dvader3263
I remember when the original Y was unveiled. I was underwhelmed. Then I slept on it and realised how much better it was than the Model 3.
We have both a 3 and a Y. It's different strokes for different folks. I like the lower center of gravity in the 3, along with the overall sporty appearance. My wife likes the higher seating position.... and we both like the hatchback flexibility of the Y when we need to haul things.
When will the affordable car come out?
It'll be a surprise.
They're sick of the vapourware screams from the idiots.
Vapourware isn't used as a phrase for Mary Barra's lies but hey, tall poppy syndrome.
If you are the same as the weeds like gm is, your bs is under the radar.
I wonder how long it's going to take before they just take the steering wheel out
When cybercab is available
The question should really be, how many computers have you got hooked up yet? Because that's when you'll know FSD is just weeks or days away.
China being able to start FSD subscriptions should bump the stock price!
I don't clearly understand the 99/100 confidence in China taking fsd. Any tangible proof? Please forward any material/press release
People don't like the look of the 2024 Model Y. These people like to complain regardless.
Wouldn’t it make sense to give China their own version based on their design center a national pride
China exports vehicles, all countries don’t have import tariffs.
I wish the Chinese OEMs well because they have dug themselves a huge hole with their copy and paste approach.
Haha! With or without your wishes they’ll be the biggest car maker in the world.
@ They will be the biggest in China. And the Chinese car market will consolidate down to 4-6 majors just like the US, Japan and Europe. They will have to buy other OEMs because no one is going to partner with them after this.
Herbert gets some great intervies. Hans ain't one of em though. Skip this and wait for Herberts next video.
What about coming up to very foggy that causes a pileup, how would a Tesla avoid this case?
The same way a human does
Don’t drive in a cloud?
Thanks Mr China man for the always great info!
Gonna continue being the best selling car on earth…
Sometimes I don't have time to listen to entire show

what was that joke about what the meaning of 'R&D' in China is? Repeat and Duplicate?
Can we have some really bad news so the stock will increase!!!
HANS… that beard is brutal. It’s got to go. It looks like a beard combover. 😂
Once proven don't you think cities will compete to have the Robo cab. Elon should go to the cities that are the moving into the Future, powered by AI.
WHY DO YOU AVOID CONVERSATIONS ABOUT COMMA-AI WHO HAS FSD ALREADY??🔥🔥🔥💥💥💥
No 48v architecture like Elon said at Cybertruck introduction. No steer by wire. No v5 chip. No 400 range. Nothing special.
No one cares except the Tesla community.
Says the guy posting a response

Gosh I hope the US Model Y is different. Hopefully no light bar. No way Franz would sign off on this awful design…
Thankfully you’re not the designer.
It’ll look exactly the same.
Hans is painful to listen to.
You Musk lover. I want an exploding car too :-)
You can probably see one with your little toy telescope 😂
No one cares except the Tesla community.
Twice.
Hahahahaha
