I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the 833 day of the war.
Day 833: Jun 05
Today, there are a lot of updates from the Kharkiv direction.
Here, Russians severely misjudged their own capabilities and prematurely launched their offensive, while Ukrainians are on the brink of turning the tide and starting their counteroffensive.
As you remember, in the first several days of the Russian Kharkiv offensive, Ukrainians conducted a fighting withdrawal from the border. The reason why they did this is to buy time for further reinforcements to arrive at the main defensive line near the settlements of Lyptsi and Vesele. While Ukrainians continued to withdraw near Lukiantsi, they caused the Russians further delay behind the small river at Hlyboke, doing massive damage to Russian assault groups with FPV kamikaze drones. Later, Russians eventually managed to advance on the flanks of Hlyboke and force Ukrainian units to pull back out of the settlement.
Interestingly enough, Russian military bloggers reported that Ukrainians decided not to pull back fully to their defensive line but to hold the Russian advance as it stood now as much as possible. Ukrainian reasoning becomes more apparent if we look at the topographic map. Here, we can see that Lyptsi is situated in the lowlands and is surrounded by three strategic heights. These hills provide fire control over and entry into Lyptsi for whoever controls them. As you can see, on the eastern heights, Russians had advanced towards the main Ukrainian line of defense. Ukrainians still control these ridges, providing them fire control over the settlement. The hills to the east are under complete Ukrainian control. This means that if the Russians do eventually manage to move into Lyptsi, Ukrainians will be able to constantly fire into Lyptsi, never allowing Russians to gain complete control.
The highest intensity of clashes is taking place on the northern heights, which Russians nearly have taken completely, for two important reasons. Firstly, if Russians manage to take full control over these hills, they will be able to start moving into Lyptsi itself. While Ukrainians would maintain fire control over the settlement through their tactical positions on the surrounding heights. Russians could start intensively bombing Ukrainian defenses in order to slowly wear them down. Secondly, if Russians gain fire control over Lyptsi from the north, it would also heavily complicate future counterattacks here, as Ukrainians would have to move through the settlement and up the hill. Because of this, Ukrainians understood it was critical to hold their positions on the northern hills in front of their main defensive line.
At the beginning of the Russian offensive in northern Kharkiv, Russians managed to take control over the northern dachas in the exurbs of Lyptsi. Russians would be able to use this to move along the sides of Ukrainian positions on the hills, severely threatening the Ukrainian defenses. Ukrainians quickly reacted to this development, and Ukrainians started conducting counterattacks and clearing the houses Russians had entered.
Ukrainian commanders also transferred special forces units and experienced drone operator teams to the area to further support Ukrainian soldiers holding the zero line on the hills. Geolocated footage shows Ukrainian drone operators of the 42nd mechanized brigade striking Russian trenches near Hlyboke. Further released footage shows more FPV drone strikes on buildings, positions, and transports around the settlement. Drone operators of a Ukrainian special forces detachment also showed how they were destroying Russian cars carrying ammunition to frontline positions. Lastly, the 42nd brigade shared a compilation of footage showing the intensity of their strikes on Russian transports of manpower and ammunition and Russian infantry on the front line.
Ukrainian fighters active in the area stated that their drone operators target Russian supply lines to gradually weaken Russian frontline positions and cause unrest and discontent among Russian troops.
Judging by the intensity of the Ukrainian drone strikes, it’s no wonder that Russian military bloggers report that Ukrainian FPV strikes and grenade drops are the main factors hindering their advance. Moreover, Russian military bloggers state that Ukrainians have...

“Russians misjudging their own capabilities” is a phrase that could be applied to many of their blunders in this conflict.
Take out the "in this conflict" part and you would be correct.
If Ukraine is winning this war, what would losing look like? I get that America is running the war that might be why Ukraine is doing so badly, considering America couldn’t beat a bunch of sheepherders in Afghanistan or rice farmers in Vietnam
that is true for the whole conflict.

It's also worth noting that this offensive, even if it was "just a feint", convinced the USA that they should allow Ukraine to strike targets in Russian territory with American weapons. This causes a lot of problems for Russia and undermines the chances of success of all future offensives.
Yeah what was the point of this. I think Putin now knows, Ukraine can stop Russian invaders wherever they want, and simply choose to let them advance where small gains have been made. Putin might just be realising this war is a lost cause because of these facts- they have no initiative, no control, and no advantages on the battlefield.
@@404killer He thought he could blitz further and that it would divert forces from the east to make his offensives in the Donbas more likely to succeed.
@@demomanchaosHe mainly tried to leverage the shell shortage. From a strategic point of view there was probably a chance to pressure ultimately the front line in Kupiansk from the west. But yeah, Putin planned this from the safety of his bunker, based on reports provided by corrupt military and FSB. It’s Steiner‘s counter-attack all over again.
I think it was only a matter of time, this just sped up things. Why do I think that? Because delivering F16s to Ukraine, but limiting their usage with dumb restrictions wasn’t going to fly for long. I bet the pressure from the US military on the US president behind closed doors must have been high already. But F16s make only sense, if you allow them to engage Russian aviation already above Russia.

Please write to your elected representatives to request this. If you are a US citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other government representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and soon. Fighting withdrawal is an old tactic. Sell he enemy land at a high cost, then take it back once their combat ability has been depleted somewhat.
Ukraine has been getting a lot of practice at this tactic, and seems to be getting very good at it.
Slava Ukraini!
If we look at how Ukraine fights this war, we see that they always focused hard on Russian logistics since day one (remember that convoy to Kiev?). Belgorod was interesting for Russia, because they had a somewhat safe logistics there. Now that Ukraine gets more shells and rockets as well as the ok to bomb the hell out of logistics in Belgorod area, the tide has turned rather aggressively.
PS: I do wonder of Ukraine‘s new found ability to attack air defense in Belgorod area may have an influence on the long range drone war. Down in Crimea Ukraine spent months to remove lots of air defense and now it’s constant long range attacks on Crimea.
@@davidgantenbein9362 Logistics is a vital aspect of military operations, and Russia's has always been kind of crap, so aiming for it makes good sense for Ukraine.

Good analysis. Thanks and Slava Ukraine.
For me it's all about the children. Never forget all of the Russians who abused children and their families in Ukraine. From the mass graves (in Izium) to the stolen children. Now if Ukrainian parents don't become Russian citizens and go to flight against their brothers and cousins Russia will take their newborn children at birth.
Speaking of Izium. What did those 414 people see? The Russians thought it was better to murder them and bury them all in a mass grave instead of letting them testify. Whatever they saw must have been truly horrific. At minimum I'm guessing rape and torture.
If Russia want's to sign😅 a treaty they must first prove they will stand by one. If Russia wants to negotiate, start with your original written agreement. Pull back all of their troops back behind their original boarder and then you can start negotiations. If they don't show they will honor the original agreement how can you expect them to honor any further agreements.
It's our war to lose. Russia can NOT win. Unless we choose to not support Ukraine of course. It is on us in the global West to pick the world we want to live in. Choose wisely. Thanks.
Glory to Ukraine. God Bless Ukraine and her people. 🇺🇦🇺🇸
stfu, ukraine started all of this in 2014 to the russian minorities. now its payback for russia

It is high time to correct misconceptions about Moscow. The Kremlin is like a big yurt with a fence. For quite a long time, the Kremlin area was under the rule of the Black Tatars. Often it slips to talk about Mongols here too, but these Black Tatars resembled Steven Seagal or even Taliban leader type in appearance and size rather than nowadays Mongols. Time is on the side of Ukraine not Russia. Russia is running out of money equipment public support. Slava Ukraine
They still have enough equipment to keep up this level of intensity for another 2-3 years. We’ll see if Western support keeps going that long. The US almost completely pulled support this year due to political infighting. Ukraine would have lost by next year if it wasn’t for the US aid package finally getting approved. If the US fails to support Ukraine next year Ukraine will lose sometime in 2026. Hopefully this doesn’t happen but don’t underestimate Russia. They’re determined to continue and are increasing their military production capacity, so much so that NATO expects Russia will attack a smaller NATO country in a few years. That’s not a country on the verge of collapse, it’s still a long way off.
Russia is running out to be sure, but slowly, and public support means little in the face if Russias totalitarian government. And whilst Ukraine has plentiful aid now, and stood for quite a while with minimal aid, it is still limited in that, and in manpower.
That being said, with how Russia is acting and Ukraine having even more ways to strike Russian bases and the lifeblood of Russias economy, oil, it definitely seems like the clock ticks far faster for Russia.
@@Santisima_Trinidadand that aid has done what?
@@unreal4010 killed about 300thousand of your employeers meat shields thus far, and made Russia look like a fucking joke.
@@ctusserThat they can keep up the intensity another 2-3 years seems unrealistic to me. The equipment they can salvage from USSR storage isn’t getting better or easier to repair and some of it is already rather depleted. We also don’t see enough new gear pouring in to deduct that Russia has the capacity to replace salvaging with newly produced. Furthermore, not sure how much support NK, Iran and China can and will deliver. Imo too many factors to suggest that Russia simply can keep up the intensity.
And let’s not forget the current intensity is driven by Ukraine‘s lack of ammunition, creating a giant opening for Russia.
So imo Russia will not be able to keep up the intensity and we will see a reduction there. But that doesn’t mean Russia (a) can’t stay in the war for 2-3 years more nor (b) that Russia can’t edge out a win, specifically a political one due to how dependent Ukraine is from the west. A lot of what’s going to happen depends on western politicians, which sadly creates ample opportunity for Russia.
It's quite worrying that Orxs get that far because any further forward means injury loss of positions and lives that Ukraine are short of
Think of it as russia also sticking their neck out further. For which there are issues.
Brilliant video thank you for all the information provided by your good self
Pootin is getting desperate. He knows he's screwed. He will make it about those in charge, to try and save face. The world knows it's his failed plans. He needs to bring his orcs home.
Yeaah idk man, they're pushing pretty hard out of Avdiivka.
He can’t leave Ukraine as the mighty supreme leader of Russia is out of power the moment he finally loses this war. So the west will have to enable Ukraine to win this by either taking Crimea or Donetsk/Luhansk. Once one of these parts is liberated from Russia, the war will end rather fast. Why? Because Russians may endure everything imaginable as long as their tzar makes them feel powerful, but if they have to face defeat and hardship at once, the public opinion will turn swiftly. That’s the point where the FSB will dispose of Putin to stay in power with a fresh horse.
