Having watched many episodes of this show I have to say business is based on plans for the future, strategic vision, a clear indication of how a business intends to reach it's destination. Very rarely do we hear basic terms relating to cost or responsibility centres, how product pricing is calculated and by what method (marginal or absorption),everything seems to be based on forecasts and what might happen. Marketing strategy now encompasses the whole social media platform. How do we account, manage our debtors, develop contingency plans, position the business and challenge the 5 forces Porter says every new kid on the block will encounter?

Watching that season I had no idea Sian or the other girl would mad wit to the top 2 but Sian deserves this she worked very hard and performed very well hope her business is doing well still.
Not gonna lie but that year's apprentice was the worst series to date. This year's everything's better!
Kamilas is a great and unique product so in a way it's scalable but it could be ripped off and Sian's is a huge market but she's very mature, creative and knows what she's doing in business

This was a weak series overall. I was not enthused by either. I still love the old one where the winner was the geeky scientist :) The one where all the wide boys tried to outshout him all the time. I was really pleased he won. I was routing for him throughout the whole series. Sometimes it is not he who shouts loudest.
If you have your own business, why do you want be an apprentice?
When you hear them say "I have a proven track record of generating large profits" then you wonder why they aren't already millionaires.
The whole premise of the show is obsolete since it isn’t an apprenticeship, it’s an investment. The process they go through for 12 weeks might help in deciding on who would make a good apprentice, but doesn’t make sense at all for investment. The final step - interview and analysis of business plan should probably come first if it’s investment focused.
I really think the show would work much better if every year there is a different boss from a different sector taking on a real apprentice. Imagine how exciting and fresh the show would be right now. We could have been on season 17 - apprentice to be a hotelier.
Lord Sugar just does this because he enjoys people fighting over him
