Hi Jim Supersonic was the name of a radio manufacturer first in Rhodesia and later in South Africa. They made car radios and large multiband portable radios. Early models were all tube. I owned two of the early transistor car radios which were good performers on MW and SW. They went out of business a long time ago.
I have a variety of super Sonic radios some are okay some are not the best one I have is the SC-1080 BT it's a small portable rechargeable radio that one's pretty good it was only 13 bucks
Hi Jim. I've seen this boombox on Amazon. I don't get why the SW band starts so high. There is practically nothing from 8 to 9.2 MHz. Otherwise, sounds pretty good on FM which probably means it will also sound good on SD card and Bluetooth. Have a good weekend.
Could you please make a video on how to charge it? I bought mine about 3 days ago. I'm very confused on how to charge it there is no clear instruction on the manual either. I'm worry that I might got a factory defect, or the internal battery doesn't really rechargeable at all. When I plug it in on a DC 6V charger nothing really happened. But if I use the AC on the back then the red light turns on. How to charge it and how do you know if it's done? I'm confuse, help.
I was wondering the same thing. When does the red 'charge' light actually turn on? I've had it plugged in overnight and nothing shows/indicates that it's charged. I guess I'll just have to try to plug my phone in and see what I get! What do I expect for 20 bucks, right?
How long does the battery last after the 6 to 8 hours charge ? I just got one from the swap meet but mine had a light infront where the cassette is and the side light

I think it lacks a headphone jack but has a lot of features.

All you have to do is plug in the wall plug and it will charge the internal battery

@mareenrussell7260 the radio charges when you plug the wall plug in the light stays red all the time even when it's full charge
@@mareenrussell7260 just keep it plugged in the wall overnight and it will be charged

I'm not exactly sure but it lasts quite a while
@@jimsradiocheck936 shit all I needed to hear thank you haha
Jim, whereabouts do you live? So many FM Stations!
I am on the Southwest edge of the Chicago area
How do you charge the radio battery? I understand that the cable that comes with it is not for charging the battery
The wall plug that comes with the radio will charge the internal battery when it's plugged in
Now I understand my radio is very similar to yours, it is not the same, model: QFX-R333BT thanks
How many watts are the speakers and what are the battery types? Thanks.
I'm not sure how many watts it is but it has an internal rechargeable battery and it takes either Caesar D's or you can plug it into the wall
Is it stereo or mono? Thanks.
I'm not too sure to be honest with you
I connected a 6 volt charger and I can't charge the battery of the radio
The wall plug should charge the internal battery try that
