Thank you so much i’ve been seeing videos on UA-cam of people doing it but they don’t show how they did it like I don’t know if I had a splice any wires or anything and I don’t wanna do any of that. I just didn’t want to gamble $1000 and then come to find out they don’t work with my car thank you so much literally the 2016 maxima SR I have is identical to the 2023. The only difference is the software on the head unit and the sunroof and the tail lights and headlights that’s it. I don’t feel like paying $40,000 for a new car when I could just spend $2000 to facelift mine. Like the new Maximus have the same exact features as my 2016.
I am not sure if anybody has commented or not but if you want to get rid of the gap under the headlights, you will need to get a bumper off of a 2019-2021 maxima to swap out with your current bumper. That will eliminate the gap. I have the exact same maxima, same color and all. I HATE the headlights that came with the 2016 model. Can't see nothing at night hardly! So I am currently in the process of swapping all my stuff over now too and I was told when I swapped the headlights that there would be a 1-1.5 inch gap under the headlights and would need to get a newer model bumper as well to eliminate the gap. Hope this helps. Good video by the way too homie. Keep doin you
That’s correct 👍 you can also bring it to a body shop and have some custom work done to eliminate it but for some like me the gap doesn’t really bother. Preciate you 🫡
I figured it out the gap issue underneath the headlights Are the shit that the clips clip into on the headlight you got a move over from the old headlight so the tabs lineup just got done doing it with mine today it literally looks OEM
When you say "move over", do you mean remove the clip all together and reinstall where it will fit into the new light? Just want to clarify since I plan on getting these lights in the future.
@@MGTOW_GHOST honestly I just keep the clip removed. It doesn’t really make much of a difference but if you have the clipped removed it makes the gap hardly noticeable make sure you put the screws back in the headlight so moisture doesn’t get in now if you transfer the clips over to the new headlights from the old ones it’s kind of a little bit of work you gotta sand down some stuff and thread, new holes. It does tighten up the gap a little bit
Hey, man, what's up, man?Your car is fire. I noticed on the headlight video I noticed when you're in your car you had leds on your side door panel. Can you show me some video in how you did it
Yeah it helped bruh, and you might try to put a 2019 bumper on and see if it fits more smoothly. Idk if it’s even possible but it’s worth a shot. Maybe ask around at Nissan dealership and see if the 2019 bumper is compatible
That was a very good video bro, I want to put those same headlights on my car but I want to know if you were able to eliminate the gap. If so, tell me how to do it. greetings from vegas
hi i bough this adapter form ebay but the seller asked me to cancel the order said my car not american car cuz i live in saudi arabia but my car 2016 and i installed 2022 headlights but still didn't work .. how can i fix this issue
And the upper trims on the 16 through 18 like my SR has factory LEDs and they are completely sealed so you can’t change the bulb which completely fucking sucks they also have an extra plug which my guess is for the computer to know if an LED goes out which that’s what I’m worried about if I do this swap. It more likely will throw a code on my gauge cluster, but I’m pretty sure I can probably just touch those two wires together and it should get rid of the code I hope.
I’m pretty sure you will be fine with the adapter harness because other people with the higher trims have also done the swap and got no codes unless a light went out then they will get a code so I’m pretty sure the harness will make it work just like your stock headlights
Hey bro I am doing this exact thing right now and I am curious if I am going to need that wiring harness that I noticed came with your new set of headlights that had an orange resistor on it as well I think I seen. I am swapping the terrible 2016 maxima headlights to a newer led set that comes on the 2018-2021 maximas. So any advice or help would be much appreciated because the vehicle is in the body shop now bout to get started on. I have already purchased the brand new EXPENSIVE AS HELL set of headlights, the new 18-21 bumper grill and trim, and also new 18-21 fog lights too. So just making sure don’t need anything else.
@@pollostylez yea I ended up finding the “2016 to 2021 Nissan maxima headlight conversion wiring harness” for $150 was the cheapest. It just arrived today! Super excited to be getting rid of those TERRIBLE 2016 headlights and seeing the new headlights, fog lights, and all new bumper too. Gonna look like a newer model one because I have already swapped out the tail lights as well. Your video helped me so thank you brotha and keep grinding man 💯 you’re doing a fine job my friend 🤝🏻🔥👍🏻
I just bought a wrecked 2017 Platinum. I mine as well swap to the newer front end and headlights since I'm replacing parts. Do you know if the newer headlights have the same plugs as the 2107s? Mine are full led from factory. Thanks
Just checked and it looks like unfortunately he did stop selling them if you know somebody that’s good at wiring it should be pretty easy for them to make the adapter harness
Some on commented I think in this video and said that’s what they did and it got rid of the gap but others told me they tried and it was still there so I’m not sure tbh but it doesn’t hurt to try I guess 🤷🏻♂️

Did you ever fix the gap in the front of the bumper and lights I have a 17 max and I love them lights
Nope they don’t bother me tbh
Only way to fix that gap is to swap it with a 19+ bumper
I figured it out the gap issue underneath the headlights Are the shit that the clips clip into on the headlight you got a move over from the old headlight so the tabs lineup just got done doing it with mine today it literally looks OEM

He’s talking about taking the clip off of the oem headlight and transferring it on to the new headlights
@@gav2159 Thanks a lot, I think I'll just keep it off then.
How good are they?, because here in AZ aftermarket head lights turn yellow or start pulling off after a year or two.
Love your videos . Just got me a brand new second hand 2018 maxima sv with 30k miles . Yours looks sweet bro . I may do the headlights looks sik .
Congrats bro 🙏🏼 and thank you 💪🏼
Brand new second hand 😂
Nice video . I did the front end swap from a 2020 to a 17 but I was always a fan of the full led lights with the old style bumper
Oh and mines is a platinum and I use the same adapter as you so it works the same with the higher trims
It’s my favorite combo! Aggressive looks with the newer lights is perfect imo
You went backwards in years?
Got a 17’ maxima and btw the adapters are only to make his lights not blink fast.

2022 maxima owner here, can i get a whip rundown really quick? been looking for a nice bumper and suspension kit like that. nice video bro
Everything on my car are in my other videos bro and my bumper is the original one that come with the car
Question: My concern is the gap , when it rains water will go through the gap does it affect anything? Also do you park your car outside or garage?
It doesn’t affect anything and the car stays outside
why didn’t you get the 2019 bumper as well?
I like the 16-18 bumper more
yoo that looks fire😻😻😻

The adapter harness you linked in your description don’t work anymore.

Yes, the facelift bumper with the facelift headlights will eliminate the gap

did you have any problems with water like car washes with the gaps? looks clean af 🔥 just don’t want water to fck anything up 🤣
No, water gets in there regardless even with oem headlights from rain etc.
Question: where did you get the Star light interior roof
I didn’t get them my installer gets them from Amazon
Got a vid of you installed the led strip on the inside on the door? And if you cut it will it still work.

Swap the bracket from the older headlights into the new ones it should work to clamp the bumper
I was told this before I still have to try it a lot of people were saying it still didn’t help but I guess I have to find out my self
You know what put washers between the headlight and the bracket to lower the clamp. It might work
