You're doing God's work my friend. These people prey on the elderly and the innocent. I had a good friend in his 80s who lost a little over $10,000 to scammers in the Caribbean and when he reported it, the police and even FBI said "nothing we can do."
Deeveeaar yes, they called and the scam was that the man claimed to be a police captain and had arrested his grandson who traveled for business. The story was that his grandson was arrested in a taxi which was carrying drugs but they believed the grandson to be innocent. However, they needed to confirm the "investigation" and since the grandson was a foreigner he was a "flight risk" and would require a large bail and money should be sent before the "court" denied him. And wire it western union of course for "quick processing." Also the captain said no use trying to contact the grandson now, as they had all his belongings in evidence and no one would answer. The grandfather sent money instantly instantly believing everything, and that evening his grandson called and lo and behold, none of this ever happened. It was all completely fabricated. Reported to the police and local branch of FBI and they just said "sorry, but nothing we can do to recover the money. Out of our jurisdiction." It's no telling who you saved. People work all their life for their retirement only to have scum try to pull tricks like this. They are the lowest of the low.

Problem is that the cruise would leave from Florida and airfare isn't included. Nobody would use it cause they had to buy a plane ticket which costs more than the $150 cruise we would give them. The line was that the smallest prize was a TV valued at like $120 knowing that almost everyone gets the cruise they would never use.

Teamspeak gives a warning now if you connect to someone from like India if they connected to your pc and so they get around this by you connecting to theirs and then switching it up at the top to let them control yours
yes but teamspeak has an option so you can disable controls and make the persons monitor blank. I believe he was gonna switch control and make deeveeaars monitor go blank and lock controls to look for files or bank account info etc

Reason they do it that way round is because teamviewer has started warning against connections originating in India, so they give you their id and password, and then ask you to reverse the connection. That way, there is no warning. If you play it right you can lock them out and black their screen, then download all their files before killing their machine.
Though in this case a little "social engineering" has gone on. By repeatedly giving incorrect info while "playing dumb" he's forced them to try the reverse trick.

Reason they do it that way round is because teamviewer has started warning against connections originating in India, so they give you their id and password, and then ask you to reverse the connection. That way, there is no warning. If you play it right you can lock them out and black their screen, then download all their files before killing their machine.
Though in this case a little "social engineering" has gone on. By repeatedly giving incorrect info while "playing dumb" he's forced them to try the reverse trick.
