- On Saturday 27th April 2024, the Mary Valley Rattler based in Gympie operated its weekend service to Amamoor in the scenic Mary Valley.
Steam locomotive C17 967 "Spirit of the Mary Valley" hauled the train in fine form.
This video follows the train at various locations during it journey.
Its really like watching history come alive

The trouble with Gympie is the damned road traffic across that bridge. It would be great if we could stop the traffic while we film the trains. 🙂

Why did they take the three chime whistle off of 967 and put the single chime back on
No idea.
@@paul1089I think it’s either the whistle is under repair or the railway reinstated the single chime based on the feedback from some people.

The whistle in this video is terrible I prefer the 3 chime instead of that single chime, not a fan of those. Very ordinary terrible.
Sorry but that's the authentic whistle fitted to these locos.
