- 2 Tamron Superzoom lenses for Sony E mount go head to head: Both usable 50mm on the wide end , but one with a bit longer reach than the other. If you are considering one of these lenses, this is the video to watch. Plenty of image samples, feature comparison, specs and more!

I was just thinking about these 2 lenses and you upload a video about it the same day. Must be fate.
It could be !!
I appreciate how you compared these lenses. You addressed every issue I've been thinking about as I'm trying to decide between them - perfect timing for me. I'm going with the 50-300 due to the weight and that the 50-300 is essentially equal in shapeness. I'm more comfortable with that decision thanks to this review.
I’m glad it could help ! Thanks for your comment
Excellent review sir, loved seeing the familiar buildings & landscape as a New Yorker. Subscribed! 🍾🥂🌟
Great! Nice to have you onboard. Thanks so much!
used to love the sigma 50-500mm lens when it came out years ago.
I still have the 50-500 Bigma lens that I still use for concerts when you're staying in in 1 place'
I also own the much lighte Tamronr 50-300 which I love for it's portarbility.
50-400 is the Way to go for me... I love this Lense... If its to heavy, just lift a bit... ;)
Haha yes a bit heavy but if you don’t mind that it’s a great lens
I too have this lens and love it.
I just brought home the 50-400 and I wish I'd seen this first. I had the 50-400 out today on a walk and it was heavy by the end, so I think it's going back. Thanks!
Well at least you’re in the return period ! Thanks for the comment Are you getting the 50-300?
I had my 50-400 out as well and didn’t find it too heavy, but I did have to use the lock to keep the barrel from drifting out.
I’ll keep mine for the additional reach, sharpness, and settings, but I have the 28-200 too, so I have choices on weight for the day.
After using it a little more I think 400mm is the way to go. It’s not too terribly heavy!
Ok good to know !!! Maybe you got used to it
Buy rf 100-400 mm instead. Only 635 gram!

I looked at the 150-400 at our local shop today and it was like a Stanley mug. I’m sure it’s amazing but it’s so big!!
