I am almost certain they will be adapting the flashback moments they skipped about Ayame in a later episode. Ayame forgetting Yuki's name ties into a backstory about him and an old classmate, and that won't be adapted till season 3. The reboot is rearranging when things are done, but i don't think they are skipping much. They even read Takaya sensei's little notes on the side of the manga, and added in the little tools Haru uses to make his and Rin's jewelry to his room. We all thought they skipped Kyos apology for hurting Tohru, but it seems to be coming up with the buildup.
This was such a fun watch! I would love to join in on a session one day :)
