Powerful song and epic video. Great reaction. It makes me tear up sometimes too - Tati's ability to express emotion in her vocals is so powerful, and pouring all her pain anger and frustration into it with this song makes it really overwhelming. About those low growls, this is the song she digs the deepest in the studio version, and they are so emotionally charged. Live performances of Pit Of Consciousness are up there too (such as live in Kiev or from the Alive In Melbourne full set), where the pain she's expressing is about her chaotic inner world. On a technical level, more recent performances of Who Is Gonna Be The One go equally low, but the song doesn't have quite the same emotional impact, with Alive In Melbourne showing those low growls off very well.
This is such a powerful song, it gets me teared up also, I retired from the US Air Force Reserve in 2014 and had served in 3 war zones, I have seen where people’s house’s had been and now just ruins and small traces of lives interrupted, terrorist attacks and in coming mortars and rockets. I have never been to the Ukraine but, I get the song and does evoke strong.emotion.
One of Jinjer's strongest messages with some of Tati's most monstrous vocals! It'll take awhile for this one to stick in my head, the song structure is all over the place, but I love it!
JINJER are from Eastern Ukraine, Donetsk region. Their native town was and still remains occupied by pro-russin forces. And all the band members became war refugees and had to move to a different region (at first Lviv in Western Ukraine and later on Kyiv - the capital). This is a very personal song for them.
Love your reactions. Exactly how I felt about the song. Goosebumps and holding back tears myself because the lyrics are so powerful. Love this band so much. Thank you for another great Jinjer reaction!
You FINALLY did this video! Such a good song! Could you please do their song "Ape" live one-shot video at Mystic Festival? Its an awesome song, and it's like you're right on stage with them.
Only few reactors seem to get what's really going on in this song... You're such a perceptive, sensitive person, to see through the harshness, and to relate with their pain... It brings tears to my eyes when I hear "this house is not a shelter anymore..."
Excellent reaction as always. Jinjer and Spiritbox are my top bands and they continue stepping up the game. Another band I would like to suggest for you to listen to is Vintersea and their official video of Illuminated, if you are Already into Jinjer and Spiritbox then this band would fit your taste as well. Btw Vintersea opened a couple of gigs for Jinjer last year in Portland during their US tour .. just figure out their sound.. Edit: btw Naka Themetalhead knows of them and has a reaction to illuminated,, she really enjoyed them as well Cheers from Norway
@@cooltechnician I must make a correction bro. Tati wrote POC. She wrote all lyrics for Macro. On Micro Eugene wrote the lyrics to Dreadful Moments, The rest is Tati. On the King of Everything album yes, Eugene wrote the third verse in Pisces and all lyrics to Sit Stay Rollover. I think I remember Eugene saying he wrote or co-wrote the lyrics to Dip A Sail too. Don't hold me to that one though. lol Cheers! 🍻
I think Judgement & Punishment is the more emotional song. "We come from the lands where kindness equals weakness." People often forget about the plight of the people who grew up under Soviet socialist occupation. The Ukrainians suffered genocide, a mass Soviet employed starvation the Ukrainians call Holodomor. Millions died from forced starvation while at the same time the New York Times was publishing puff pieces about the Soviet Union, about how wonderful its socialist programs were, and about how great the Ukrainian, Romanian and Polish people had it.
Great reaction! Don't worry this song gave me the feels as well. I have heard this song many times now, and my eyes still water up when I think of how personal this one has to be to the band.
The song has an incredible groove to it, and I think going for more of an angry variant fits the band and her vocals more, compared to really sad songs like Spiritbox with Constance - it just hits you in a different way and fits the absurdity of war itself. I think you are still missing No Hoard of Value, which has a very good lyric video, but also a very funny live in Paris (feat Unicorn) video, which is not the best quality but would be worth a double reaction with the lyric one. The song is about the coal mining industry in their home region, which is one of the most hazardous working environments in the world, due to very deep mines, outdated equipment, lack of safety standards, and also one of the biggest coal mining industries in the world too. I'd also definitely like to see more Infected Rain. Black Gold, Enslaved by a Dream, Earth Mantra, Me Against You live feat Tatiana (bootleg quality and her mic is too low, but still fun).
Omg double feature of No Hoard Of Value lyrics and "feat Unicorn" would be epic! :) And totally agree about Infected Rain too, including about the Lena and Tati video being incredibly fun because they are clearly enjoying themselves - maybe a double feature with the official video of Me Against You?
@@ragnarjak2455 I think he even edited that in, or at least I don't remember him saying Crimea. Crimea is the southern peninsula that Russia annexed, there were some similar tactics as in eastern Ukraine, but they are two separate conflicts.

Who else but JinJer could have the balls (and ovaries) to get an anti war song out. From WarPigs to HomeBack every generation has one because every generation has their own set of old rich fucks willing to send out their young to go die for them. For what? Better late then never.
Such a powerful hard hitting song 😁👍👍Jinjer always delivers
Powerful music with a powerful message - gotta love it!

It has much more meaning today in 2022.

Yes there are guys who can go deeper but what percentage can't and of the ones that can, go ahead and sing those cleans like her!!!
An example of a guy that can definitely go lower is ryo kinoshita he's on a whole nother level😂
@@dravenripley9468 Does he have beautiful cleans?
@@oldmanjimh3165 I just said an example of someone that can go deeper. But probably not as he never does clean singing like ever.

Great reaction and commentary to this powerful song, Tauri. Your stank face game is strong here. Love the shirt btw 💛
That was awesome.
You’re right, Tati writes the lyrics and the guys write the music.
About the lyrics Eugene made a contribution to the last part of Pisces and he wrote Pit of Consciousness.. but for the rest is Tatianas work

I don't know why the synopses said what it said but this is more about the Eastern wartorn sector of the Ukraine.
My dear Tatiana writes all there lyrics but she does have help from some of the band members but she's responsible for every song that they make

They're referring to the illegal Russian occupation of Crimea.
This has definitely won me back to Jinjer.
I think to remember that she is somewhat educated on the bands rocky history, but if I'm wrong then we could of course do a quick recap.
What does Crimea have to do with it? There was no war, unlike in Donbass.

This song about war on Donbass, where from whole the band Jinjer. There is their home. And they lost it.

Tati kinda sounds like Randy Blythe at the end there.
He's one of her vocal inspirations, so that makes sense!

Yeah this is by far the lowest I've ever heard her go.
Her lows in Pit of Consciousness live in Kiev are insane
