Great review! I love REH and boxing and didn't realize that's what this book was. Holy smokes, I must find this. I have read his Sailor Steve boxing stories though and while fun they do get a bit repetitive.
Breckenridge Elkins I think was the western name. It was actually funny. Strange for good comedy to come from such a deeply disturbed man. Howard is still one of my favorite authors Like Tolkien he created a whole genre, I only wish both of their works didn't have the inherent racism of the time period.

It's a fun, easy read. Definitely pick it up if you stumble on a copy.

have you read Almuric, or His western...cant remember its name. those were both better reads than iron man to me.
Amulric has been on my list for a while, but I don't have a copy yet. I am interested in what REH's take on the "sword and planet" subgenre is like.
