Prince was iconic..❤️
More of him to come 😀
i wouldn't describe him as 'happy, go-lucky' lol, if you only take into account his live show rehearsal schedules... man he was not kidding. What I love most about Prince's songs is that they feel very genuine and often his songs are like pages of a diary he would have written.
React to Prince When Doves Cry Extended.
Prince was known as being anti drugs and clean living at this time. He was consumed by the music making process. He was the stand out musical artist of his time and set the bar that others wanted to follow.
Prince was a musical genius
its 1985 hit from around the world in a day album and that genre is psychedelic pop i can tell you😊😊😊
React to Prince-Little Red Corvette official music video
will do
Prince was his own genre
Most definitley. Sometimes I just retreat into his music for periods & every mood is covered. And then some.
Pop blues country he gave the funk at the beginning
🥳🥳
Check out Prince song ‘Baby I’m A Star’ Live at the American Music Awards or Syracuse Live!
it's not just a pop, its an alternative pop
If you wanna enjoy Prince's music just search his live performances.
Thanks
Syracuse, 1985
Wonderful to see someone's First Reaction to Prince and it's something other than Purple Rain. Great Choice. maybe try KISS next.
Thanks 😃
Prince was actually clean by most accounts, and didn’t use drugs until he was older and needed opiates to deal with chronic hip pain.
PLEASE!! PLEASE!!! React to more of Prince Music Videos and Live Performances. Prince have a HUGE Music Catalog.....Please!
When you have time watch Prince Purple Rain Movie, Graffiti Bridge, Signs Of The Times and Under The Cherry Moon movies.
More reactions coming up 😀

😁👍
That song is a psychedelic pop genre
The Prince skits on _Chappelle's Show_ make for an interesting introduction to Prince, I'm sure! I look forward to more Prince reaction videos from you. If you'd like suggestions, "Darling Nikki" should clear your sinuses, but "1999" is a true classic, and I once owned a 'mixtape' that was just "Let's Go Crazy" over and over...
Darling Nikki coming up :)
@@Eddycheeee Nice! The other two suggestions I made should not be nearly as shocking, lol.
4:00 Mid-80s. I know it doesn't seem like much of a time difference but music changed fast back then.
very true
One of my favourite artists during the 80's. He was eccentric, I think the term used to describe his music was psychedelic. He and Michael Jackson were music rivals back then. My favourite songs were: 'When doves cry, Red Corvette, Party like it's 1999.'
I do see the similarities with Michael Jackson 🤔
Psychedelic was mostly in the 70s and featured unmistakable drug/hallucination references -- think of Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit". Prince's work had clear influences from funk, pop, rock, and R&B, but he was also very much his own genre, one he created for himself in much the way his style of self-presentation (clothing and grooming) was one he created for himself.
He was the exact opposite of what's sometimes called "short man syndrome" wherein a man shorter than average tries to overcompensate and in doing so makes a fool of himself -- Prince, by contrast, had more self-confidence and swagger than a dozen motivational speakers.
@@jackabug2475 Ok thanks for the clarification. I came across that classification of his music in a Google search. Lol, Prince most definitely did not have a 'short man syndrome. He had his own unique, dare I say outlandish style and behaviour but is quite comfortable and confident within himself.
@@Eddycheeee MJ was in the league of pop music, he had a whole family musical background and money > Prince had his own line of musical freedom. Prince played whatever he wanted to play because he was a REAL MUSICIAN able to play every instrument in a band (and more) as a master. Just remember this: at 17 & completely unknown, he got a contract with Warner Bros for 3 albums. That's something that MJ never got close to. He recorded just a tape he alone, playing all the instruments and it sound so good for the man at WB office that he asked "what's the name of the band?". And Prince could write a song like this one in a few hours and I mean write the lyrics, write each instrument line, play all of them, record, mix and produce the entire song.
Cool reaction. Prince is black, but the record company wanted to label him as a black RnB artist. Billing him as a young Stevie wonder because he played all the instruments, sang all the parts. But he played all genres. He told the band I want to say is he black, is he white is boy ,is he girl, not knowing what he is. Growing up in Minnesota, all white town, no black artists on the radio, u had black kids w rhythm growing up adding funk to rock music, that's part of why is called Minneapolis Funk. You d have to pick a genre u want to hear from prince and he s done it. Few examples u might enjoy:
"Kiss" from same era as raspberry beret
Then watch "kiss" extended 12in version, turns into a totally different song, audio only
"I feel for you" 1979, RnB funk has prince playing every instrument, singing every part.
"Old friends for sale" 1985 and 2013 -live Montreux bluesy number, two different lyrics
"The ride" from 1998 crystal ball album bluesy rock
"Chapters and verse" prince rapping over funk
"Housequake" from LoveSexy 88 Germany show, 4th song on the concert
Cool reaction u gave
Just to give u a few ideas. Every song will sound different
Its psychedelic pop i can tell you
GOOOOOOOT DAYUM BRO! DID I LITERALLY JUST HEAR YOU SAY THAT YOU HAVE NEVER LISTENED TO ANY OF PRINCE'S SONGS?! EVER?!?! REALLY?!?!?! BRO, don't ever say that out loud in public again!!!!
🤣🤣🤣
If you like Michael Jackson, I highly recommend you check out Prince "Thieves In The Temple (extended version)". Such a great bit from the Graffiti Bridge movie.
Pat Smear from the Foo Fighters is in this video 😂
If you had any kids, I guess that would make him "Pap" Smear.
Do yourself a favor, Eddy : push the chairs and furniture in your room, put on Prince "Sexy Dancer" long version (where he's playing every instrument) on your loudspeakers and let the party begin !

And if you want to know what Prince was about on stage, this Inglewood live medley is the way to go :

Thanks. The reaction will be out soon 🥳
@@Eddycheeee Great! I hope you did enjoy this groovy track.
Is he good? Lol . HIs Royal Badness redefined the landscape of popular music with his innovative sparse arrangements .he was a solid bass player guitarist pianist and drummer.he was amazing singer killer arranger.great composer and you debate if hes good or not? Lol.well if u tell me hes not good i will stop listening 2 his music lol. Comedy
I respected him as a musician. Just wasn't my cup of tea back then. "7" was my fave song from him.
The song is timeless. The video is garbage. It was made for MTV at the time.
