- Some Cumberland County residents say crime from nearby motels is trickling down into their neighborhood and they want it to stop.

There was a community watch meeting on Monday night to address the issues.
Cumberland County Sheriff Ennis Wright and Chief Deputy C.J. Broadus said what's happening at three motels near the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville happens every day and has been going on for years.
"This is the worst of the three," Wright said about Coliseum Inn. "This is the one that has over 200 calls."

I used to be afraid to drive to Fayetteville in 2008-09. (Had a boyfriend that stayed in Raeford.) Now I want to check it out.

unfortunately i lived at the carolina motor inn for around a year due to being homeless, it really isn't that bad. It's always been a bad area, and it's always going to be a bad area, you got homeless camps and junkies staying in tents in the woods and stuff, lots of panhandlers, drug dealers, pimpz, n hoez, ect.... but that's everywhere in fayetteville, why target the people of this area? I stayed to myself, never opened my door for people, or had riff raff in my room, and walked to the store daily. Never had any problems, it's all about how you act, you act like a victim you get treated like one. Sorry to the old white lady with her face blurred out, you want to live in a nice neighborhood, take yo old az to southern pines or something, sheesh.

I always go to that motel for segx, me or the women that i bring in there with me never cause any problems, but a lot of the b1*k guys that bring women there ALWAYS get into a fight because the guy never wants to pay the woman for her services. Then they try to get her out because they already payed for the room and don't want it to go to waste for the rest of the night. Thats when gun violence comes into play. Its always the same thing. I would have my relations in my car, but a lot of women feel very uncomfortable with that, and would much rather go to a hotel room.
