- The most expensive steak at LongHorn Steakhouse is the 16 oz. USDA Prime Delmonico for $48.29. We also ordered the 6 oz. Flo's Filet and 4 oz. Lobster Tail ($34.29), the Wild West Shrimp ($12.99), and the Chocolate Stampede ($10.99).

I worked at Longhorn for a little over 10 years, I loved working there. I had to stop working for health reasons, but it is my favorite restruant. My favorite steak is the Outlaw ribeye! Delish!!! Love the Wild West Shrimp...
Fellow LoHo here, I agree the Outlaw is the best steak!!! ♡ so glad they tried the stampede, it’s the best!!
2 of my favorites, Outlaw rib eye and Wild West shrimp 👍👍
*restaurant
Love Longhorn Steakhouse. I think it's the best lower priced chain steakhouses. The steaks are great there and i get the wild west shrimp with sweet chili sauce on the side instead of ranch. Also the Chocolate Stampede is amazing! Great review as always!
I just went to Outback and the Longhorn New York Strip is 500 times better. Better seasoned, better cooked, better quality meat, better flavor by far. Longhorn never disappoints. Loaded baked potato and side salad are also excellent.
When I was younger I used to always order steaks medium rare, but as I have gotten older I now usually go for medium. Derek your steak looked cooked to an excellent medium and the grill marks looked great too
Longhorn is extremely consistent. Their managers are very proactive. Each restaurant has proven “grill masters”. We have never had to return a steak there for doneness. The Wild West shrimp is easily our favorite-perfect for four as is the chocolate dessert. You can order the seasoning light or none. It is completely up to the customer. The Delmonico is not available in our area-not sure if I have enough room for it anyway.
Consistently Bad Lol😊!
We know you work there but it is not true that every restaurant is consistently good. Steaks and food are sent back all the time.
Wow! First the tomahawk steak on your other channel and now more steak at LongHorn. You guys always make me hungry with your videos. I'm a medium steak guy like Derek. 👍
There used to be a Longhorn Steakhouse on Maryland & Flamingo. I enjoyed a dinner there once. It was delicious 😋🥩
I always like a squeeze of lemon on the Cesar salad brings out the dressing more - ty for the video ❤️😊
Everything looked Great 👍. Wow Great Review Thank You Both So Much 🎉😊
They used to have a 30 oz porterhouse for 2. I would give my wife the filet and I would eat the strip. You each get a side and it came with a house steak sauce that they made table side. It was about $40, then went up to $45. To bad they stop selling it. I'm not sure if you can still get the house steak sauce or not. But it was 😋.
Happy Sunday Derek & Catherine 😊
Love this review! Longhorn is one of my favorite restaurants!
I watched your review of Texas roadhouse end absolutely suggested you try Longhorn steakhouse, I believe the quality of steak is better than Texas roadhouse, thank you for trying it out! What are you guys think, better than Texas roadhouse?! Lol.
LONGHORN has amazing porkchops at the price point
the pork chops are delicious. you probably already know but ask for firegrilled next time
At the Longhorn near me, the Porterhouse as the most expensive and there is no Delmonico on the menu.
Love this series! Keep it going!
Pecan is a Spanish word. There is no “can” pronunciation in Spanish. Every A is pronounced AH. It is never pronounced with a long A as in band.
There are never any deviations from this pronunciation. Therefore, pecan is always pronounced “pay-CAHN” but said quickly like puhCAHN. So if you say pee-can, you are saying it incorrectly.
You guys are wonderful together. Thank you for the informative review.
I enjoy Longhorn steakhouse. I like it above most other chain steakhouses. I've had the most expensive steak there but like their ribeye so much more
If I pigged out on bread, that shrimp appetizer and a salad I’d never be able to eat a 16oz steak.
I now need a steak and baked potato with salad in my life.😳
There is only one Longhorn within 60 miles of my house and I have only one negative thing to say about it- they open at 4.
I wonder do they still serve liver & onions?
That LongHorn Steakhouse seems so much better that the one down here.
How do you two stay on the lighter side? All that food and so many reviews , I would have gained lots of weight!! Prefer Texas Roadhouse.
A bit too rare for me 6:12
I got a medium ribeye from them last week. Still thinking about it obviously lol
yummy, I usually get the 8 oz renegade sirlioin It is medium. All their food is great 🥰
I usually get the peppered steak salad at Longhorn! I like my steak rare!
Medium well for me. The steaks look very good as do the appetizers
please let us know the total price for your meal ..??
all steaks or any meat for that matter should be well done I don't see how anyone can eat it with any red in it
medium well
Our longhorn doesn't offer a Delmonico steak
That dessert is enormous!! Take my money 👍🇦🇺😲
That looks perfect for me!! Yum
That dessert looked great
OMG! That dessert is totally worth the money! 🤤🤤 Love you guys! You're so cute together! ❤️
would you ever try the steaks at Longhorn Casino? Forgive me if you already posted a video of it lol
It is ridiculous for what they charge a little piece of meat
Medium rare.....with SPG.
$50 nope. Get yourself a grill people. Learn to grill. For $50 you could have made dinner for two and had drinks
Been to Longhorns 20 times, never disappointed.
Of all the chain steakhouse restaurants, I easily have Longhorn at the top. I am from Omaha and I feel I know a good steak. I will tell you that true Prime steak is another level better . And that Lobster truly looked like a Maine lobster as compared to most that serve warm water rock lobster. Big difference.
Somewhat new to Longhorn. Last night i ordered the ribeye.
Although i was told it would come seasoned, i failed to ask them to omit it.
My steak came and the server ... great guy ... asked how everything was. I said that the steak was great, but i next time I'll ask for no seasoning.
To my surprise, he offered to take my steak and have it re-done with no seasoning.
Excellent service! GREAT STEAKS!
When I get a baked potato. I eat skin and all.
It's funny how people tell other people they have to have a steak "medium rare" or else it's ruined..but very few people who enjoy it cooked more ever berate people who like it rare (raw). The other thing is those same people always push others to try it rare or medium rare as if others will suddenly love it that way. This has always baffled me. If she likes her steak cooked that way (or not cooked that way- because the center of that filet is in fact essentially raw..i have no problem with it). But his reaction to eating that piece of the filet was a pretty disgusted reaction being that it was raw in the middle. I once had a porterhouse at a fine steakhouse (large size to feed multiple people at our table) cooked medium rare where it was just like her filet in this video in the middle..and i did not enjoy it whatsoever. Some people enjoy the taste of a very rare/nearly raw steak and some just don't. It's not a fact that medium or medium well is worse than rare or medium rare, it's simply just an opinion. I'll never cease to be baffled by people and even restaurants/servers essentially being offended by people ordering a steak the way the person ordering and eating the steak wants it to be cooked. Think about the things these days that God forbid you "judge" a person for. Yet eating a steak medium or especially more well than medium gets instant judgment. It makes no sense at all. If i want a steak medium well or well done..just be quiet and let me have it and eat it the way i prefer it. Why do you even care?
Great review by you two. Just love the detail by Catherine and the expressions by Derek are priceless!
Both steaks looked like they were perfectly cooked. That’s one thing our local Longhorns has been very good at too. I never tried the lobster, but it certainly looks good. I agree on their loaded potato, pretty tough to beat.
It all looks great but by the time you get through with all the talking isn’t your food cold like the potato. Did look good , $48 was too much for the steak, go for the ribeye nest time, thanks for sharing
Eat the skin , it's good 4 you.
I see they’re not shy with the croutons on that Caesar, Catherine 😳😂
The beauty of having a baked potato is you have something to gather up all those great jucies from the steak. Well done, as usual, guys.
I like using toasted sour dough bread when I make steaks at home. It works really well together. Especially because I butter baste my steaks, so it's juices and garlic butter that's browned 🔥
Catherine you don’t seem like you enjoy your meal😂
that shrimp app looks good. 12.99 pretty reasonable for that size appetizer.
Please start letting her eat first, a gentleman let’s the lady go first!
A meaty flavor from a steak? Wow. Who would of thunk it.
I love that you do not eat at the fancy places all the time and you show stuff us normal folks might want to try.
The only place that steak sauce isn’t needed, cooked to perfection. Was just there for our anniversary.
Medium is the way I go always. Longhorn is known for seasoning. What stands out from all.other steak houses . I really enjoy longhorn. Out of outback, Texas roadhouse and longhorn which steak was your favorite?
I would love to see you guys do a “Eat on the Strip for $100” challenge! (Not counting alcohol, appetizer, and dessert- because all of those are optional!)
Damn, I wished there was a way to share food via this platform, that cake was simply amazing!
I'm getting the "meat sweats" tonight from watching your videos. 😋
Please pronounce Pecan….Pe Kahn, not Pee can!!!!
I love our Longhorn Steakhouse in Garner, NC. I think the only difference between ours and the one you are reviewing is ours doesn't have the Delmonico steak. They do offer a Porterhouse and a terrific T-bone which is the best steak I have ever had. Love the seasoning also. Great review guys. Ours also offers a chocolate lava cake as a desert which is delicious.
Don't let anyone tell you how you "should" have your steak cooked. It's personal preference. I do not like bloody meat either. I was raised on well done and the farthest I'll go is "medium well". Love your videos!
Love your reaction after the first bite every Time Derek 👌🏻😃😉
The steaks look great !!!Personally I like mine medium like you Derek lol,I think your meal was very appropriate for the cost and I'd love to try Longhorns Steak house unfortunately I live in Connecticut and texas Roadhouse or Ruth Chris steak house are probably the best for a steak lol great video everything looked AMAZING!!!!BTW Catherine you are always so positive and cheerful I love to watch you bc you give such a Positive vibe off!!!!!We need more people like you in this world today!!!!!👍👍🙏🙏😘😘💜💙💗💞
Here in Connecticut too. There are Longhorn Steak Houses in Shelton and North Haven. You may live north of here. Never tried the Delmonico. More likey to order the chocolate cake.
@@patrick8128 Omg really ??!!!Oh I'm soooo excited thank you sooo much for letting me know ,I swear I had no idea !!!!!👍👍👍👍👍I live in Stratford,CT so I'm like 20 min.from North Haven!!!!!!
I had the filet several years ago and it was terrible. It appeared to be one of those fake reconstituted steaks I have read about. Have never been back since Texas Roadhouse steaks have been much better.
I ate at Longhorn twice. Worst steaks I have ever had. And they were ribeye.
I had one of those at an expensive Disney world restaurant. You could tell it wasn’t a filet.
The Outlaw Ribeye on the menu at $31 is one of my favorite steaks anywhere. Rivals some of the $80 ribeyes I've had in Las Vegas.
I love longhorn. The service is great, awesome food, and 4.95 Jack and cokes all day lol
I like medium rare 🥩👌👌 actually the most important thing it’s the texture 😅I like when the steak melts in your mouth like super ultra tender ❤
I always like steak when come to USA but to much tampering with the natural product
I like my steak the exact same way you got your medium That's a perfect medium
Ordering steak from any restaurant is not worth it any longer.
Enjoy both of you,but excessive consuming of beef is not healthy for you.
Excellent review! Such a balanced team approach with Derek’s expressive commentary and Catherine’s insightful sensory observations. You folks are hitting on all cylinders with camera angles, menu shots, descriptions, close-ups, honest reactions and tight editing. I can see an influx of new fans joining your site… one visit and they’re on board!
You guys try good things u seem more like friends then a couple but God bless
A real steak would've covered the plate.
I live in Palm Beach County Florida. The Cowboy Ribeye is almost as good as Ruth Chris (I said almost) at about 40% of the price. LongHorn is far better than its competitors here, Outback or Texas Roadhouse. It is my go to steakhouse. It used to be Ruth Chris for my birthday but I cannot handle the overly rich fatty meat cooked in butter. I also love the upgrade salads you can get as a first course with your meal.
Well LongHorn, is in the same family as Ruth Chris, Capital Grill, Eddie Vs, as well as Food 52, Olive Garden and Cheddars. They get good meat and it is very relaxed.
@@DCo923 We have a Capital Grill here and I heard that they great Prime Rib roast. Any truth to that? This is one menu item that seems to be increasingly hard to find at places.
Great video! We ask for the asparagus double steamed as we don't like it undercooked. We love Longhorn.
Stop ordering steamed asparagus for the love of God!
Wife and I both love longhorn been going for many years now and have yet to have a bad meal and the service is always good if your a couple and love to eat a very good steak that is cooked to order you definitely can't go wrong with Longhorn steakhouse. Been to Texas roadhouse but when I'm there I feel like the cattle somehow. Nice review though.
All of your food looks delicious, I’m with you Derek with your choice of steak , I always like mine medium, thanks for another fantastic video both , you guys are the best ❤
Watching this video makes me want to bring my wife to Longhorn for Valentines Day. I like the shrimp appetizer so much that I’ll sometimes order it as a meal and a salad as an appetizer. Good work as always!
Looked like a decent value although 48 for a chain steak a bit steep albeit double the size of an 8oz . Id go ribeye. Catherines definitely on the too rarer side. I like slightly more cook time but not med rare as by the time it rests it often comes out medium which is to dry . Steak esp a nice cut should be fine almost raw anyway but a little cook brings out flavor. At least you dont order it well done like some i know which completely ruins all but heel caps on a prime rib.
Love that the loaded potato wasnt upcharged. The dessert was FANTASTIC great deal.
Presentation so much better than TGIs im embarrassed for TGI. And these guys busier.
Great review
Longhorn is the best chain resteraunt
I like my steak just like Derek. Medium is my go to.
Love Longhorn, food is always great, love the apps, like that the booths are nice and high, so you always have privacy.
Nice episode. But those shrimp were frozen ehhh
Delmonico isn’t even that great of a cut.
They owned by Outback Steakhouse
Thanks for the heads-up on the seasoning. Next time I visit a Longhorn (which I doubt is forthcoming. I haven't travelled an hour to the nearest one yet). Salt only, please.
The Delmonico Steak is what I've also had in the past. I also order my steak medium. 😋
Longhorns was founded in my home state, in Atlanta (although it long ago became a Darden restaurant). But I think that in Atlanta it still has the reputation of maybe being the best of that 'second tier' of steak houses. Derek, if you eat sushi, then med-rare steak isn't much different. But I've definitely noticed that some cuts of steak actually become easier to cut and easier to chew when they go from 'bloody rare' to more of that 'pink but cooked' stage.
Her steak was still kicking 😮
Actually impresssed with their steaks and cooking correctly. Look good!
Salt & pepper ONLY, for me. But a big KUDOS to Longhorn that they "alert" you to the seasoning, so that people like myself can skip it, and those who like heavy seasoning can have it their way too.
They are not pronounced pee- cans
