The old greenies weenies. They would run and make the owner money, but use operators had ear plugs and ear muffs. Hot,damn hot in the summer and at least you didnt freeze in the winter lol.
I worked for a Company that used a T-S14 Terex scraper for a spare. If, you broke your caterpillar scraper , you would get to use the Terex which very few operators liked to run because of how rough they rode and screaming Detroit Diesel engine's.
Might not be popular with some operators but the green scrapers made and are still making money for their owners.

We had an old Terex on the claim, if you abused your 621 or 627 they put you on the Lizard to teach you to respect equipment lol

nothing beats the sound of a v8 detroit diesel i spent months operating a ts14 scraper exactly the same as that one
Is that why an engine rebuild showed us an 8 cylinder
ts 14s where 4 cylinder and ts 24s had 8v71 or cummins
You are correct. The T-S 14 had a Inline 6 cylinder in front and a 4 cylinder in rear scraper.
@@mhoff5777 We run two TS 14s both had 6V53s in each end, and we self loaded except when I gave them a push with the 627.
Did you wreck it?
