Hi from Oamaru New Zealand. I have a McCulloch PM1000 it's cousin. I'm due to get a Partner 650 also. Hey a tip. Keep air filter clean and use Amsoil Saber at 100-1....it will love it. Always warm saw up for 3 to 4 minutes then build up. Also cool down 3 minutes by idling down. Most of my saws are 1950's, 60's large timber metal era all 102 cc McCulloch, Pioneers.
Wow realy nice video, i have a partner s50 probably the same year than you 1975… just a quick question, mine is able to start but it stop right away do you think the problem could be related to the carburator too? In all the case your video will help me to clean my carb for sure….
Absolutely mate! It sounds like it would most definitely be related to a carb issue! Lucky both carbs are pretty much the same and same setup so basically just follow through what I’ve done for a good clean out and you should be right mate!
@@olivierhudon7929 that tells me that you need to clean the carby out mate! It’s only running in choke and once you flick that switch it opens the choke but you’re not getting the right fuel to air mixture. So give the carby a clean and you should be able to use that switch properly after that without issues!
@@aussierestos9105 thanks man! I’m going to check that! Yesterday i succefully started it, the motor ran but when i stopped it. Same issue hard to start ?!? …. My spark plug is a NGK BM6A. I wondering if it could be the wrong type?!? Anyway thanks for your time and have a nice evening! 🤟
Hello buddy, I have the same chainsaw, I have a problem with lubricating the chain, I'm from Serbia, we don't have some parts :( in the service, the hose broke from the oil, which is not available in our country to buy that hose..Are there any parts with you? some say that this hose can be put any other needless original ...
Hey mate sorry to hear! Have you tried ordering for the American site called “jacks small engines . Com” ? Let me know how you go there and if not I’ll see if I can get the part for you and send it to you.
My favourite NON Stihl chainsaw!!
Excessive smoking can be caused by defective O-ring in the oil pump.
What happened to the promised part two? I'm assuming the engine committed Hari- Kari?
Great video :D not the thing to watch at 3 am when everyone is asleep but great haha thanks for sharing .
well done... greetings from germany
Thanks for the support from across the world mate! Much appreciated

@@aussierestos9105 thanks i’ll let you know the result!
Just to be sure with this model is it normal to keep the blue switch in upper position while it running. When i turn down that switch motor die!
