I was an atheist for years but I was a good person. Always watched what I would speak and always had the best interest in not causing harm amongst others. I got rid of social media for almost two years along with watching tv cuz those things just didn’t satisfy me any longer because all I saw was the bs they were spitting out that most can not see. I was also fasting and haven’t fornicated for 16 months. I also have gotten rid of a lot of old stuff that were only a burden because they held a lot of old memories. One night in my car, something came over me and myself manifested out of me sorta like a double image of me right in my plain view and that me was very dark and unhealthy and that me was killed pierced with some kinda Fire of an arrow head or a spear that came down from up above and killed that manifestation of me. Right after that, I just wept and felt totally changed and sinning wasn’t a hard battle to do. My heart and whole being felt so free and light that even my singing went from a level 3 up to a level 9 in half a year. The experience made me a softer man in physical action but a convicted one in His deeds. Most friends and family couldn’t understand me and said that I have changed so much and they even find me boring because I don’t partake in their activities because my insides feels uneasy when surrounded by ungodly sights and sounds. Thank you Abba, Father for the second chance! Thank you Lord of Lords Jesus Christ for the everlasting love! Thank you also to the Comforter/Holy Spirit for saving me from my own darkness!
the phrase "born again", it is a translation of the Greek phrase "gennethe anothen" that means "born from above", where the word "above" is put for God who is in "above". In other words, "born from above" means "born of God", who is in above. As it can be seen therefore, this passage, similarly to John 1:12-13, speaks for a second birth that a man may have, the birth from God, which, as Jesus explains, is a prerequisite for the entering into the kingdom of God.
Another stumbling block for most to properly grasp the text is the general disbelief in the necessity of water baptism in order to be saved, even though there are a multitude of Scriptures that so teach (e.g., Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38; 22:16). In rejecting of the clear teaching of Scripture, many have invented fanciful explanations of what “water” means in today’s text. Many have opined that the water of John 3:5 is amniotic fluid, what we speak of when a pregnant woman’s “water” breaks. Though such is called water, it is not water. The Bible never uses the word water to describe amniotic fluid. Jesus said “water” and that is exactly what He meant, else what did John mean later in this same chapter when he wrote that John baptized at Aenon because “there was much water there (v 23)? Let the text teach what it teaches.
John 3:4-5 "Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say to you, unless one is BORN OF WATER AND THE SPIRIT, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." As it can be seen, this passage again tells us that there are two births that one should have to enter the kingdom of God. The one is the birth from the water, where the word "water" is put for the first birth - This is the birth that all people have i.e. the birth from our human parents. However, apart from this birth the above passage speaks also for a second birth, the birth from the Spirit. Regarding now the word "spirit", though it has many usages, most of the time it is used either i) of God who is Spirit (John 4:24) or ii) of what God gives and which is also spirit.
“Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God” (John 3:3). This is one of the most well-known, yet most misunderstood, texts in all the Bible. Folks who miss it are in good company because Nicodemus did not understand it. But Jesus explained Himself in verse 5, yet many still do not understand. One reason for this error is the failure to recognize the language. Verse 5 teaches the exact same thing as verse 3. There is not one birth in verse 3 and two in verse 5 as many allege. The word “born” in verse 5 is singular, meaning there is one birth, consisting of both water and Spirit, by which one is born again as in verse 3. We also understand this to be true because the blessing found in each verse is the same. When a text uses similar language and the result is the same, those things should be understood as being the same. For example, in Acts 2:38, Peter said that repentance and baptism were both requisites for receiving remission of sins. But in Acts 3:19 he said it this way, “Repent and be converted that your sins might be blotted out…” Both statements are teaching the same thing. Thus, in verse 3, Jesus says one must be born again to see the kingdom of God. In verse 5 He says one must be born of water and Spirit to enter the kingdom of God. Seeing the kingdom of God and entering the kingdom of God are the same thing. So, there is only one birth here under consideration, and it involves both water and Spirit (cf Eph 5:26).
