I love how you sell it on here then put using one on the casual crim videos
Has the asteroid belt asked this sponsor "My Heritage "where the heck it came from? 🤔
You
Cosmographics
Face it Simon and Co. you just need to make a space channel lol in all seriousness, thanks for the content! 🍻
Please!!!!!!!
Actually though, they do so much space content and I always enjoy space videos because they are safe to watch while I eat unlike most of what is on into the shadows or some main channel vids.
Spaceographix!
I’ve made my own playlist at this point
Been asking
Any day now they’ll realize they can make a dedicated astrographics channel
Cosmographics
@Luci4 you've spammed this so much to every comment that I hope he doesn't name it that just to spite you.
@@dopplerthesexybeast Cosmographics it is.
The thought of a teenage Jupiter throwing asteroids around is amazing.
'You're not the Strong Gravitational Force of me! You're not even my REAL elliptical plane!'
Ever since the first few space episodes came out, I’ve been waiting for Spaceographics to become a thing. Would love to see content on things like Betelgeuse, Quasars and various nebula.

Still reading that book. My wife and daughter don't understand why I laugh some times. I read what made me laugh ... and they just look at me and shake their heads.
With all of the possible videos on space, I seriously think it’s time for a dedicated space channel 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Fascinating video! Great job Simon and team 😊
Planetographics, the 15th or 16th or 17th channel featuring Simon Whistler
No matter how mentally drained I am Simon your content always a rejuvenator. Thank you
The ancient sunken city of Pavlopetri would make a good video if you can find info on it! It was discovered off the coast of Greece, is possibly 5000 years old, and some people think it might be Plato's inspiration for parts of the Atlantis story!
Love the Hitchhikers Guide reference at the beginning.
Yay, another "Astrographics"!
Cosmographics
As I'm nearly 70 and with a long history of poor-ish health, I hope I live long enough to see them!
Be well, friend.
💜
Just finished utterly binging the entire space 'series'. Even if it's not worth starting a whole channel for, a dedicated playlist of the series would be awesome, they're a fascinating watch and made me even more excited for the next decade of exploration.
does Simon realize he quoted Hitchhiker's Guide at the beginning of the vid? 🤔🤷🏼♂️
0:09 +1 for the shoutout to the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy 😁😁😁😁😁😁 Also 4:43 The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air reference.
+1000 for Simon missing the references. 😂

I love vids about space. Those are my fav Geographics videos
A public playlist compilation of videos on this channel about Our Solar System that I wanted, but couldn’t find. Please create this for your channel, or contact me to be added as a collaborator to add new videos as applicable. Keep up the amazing content! I LOVE this channel and it’s wide variety of places. These topics don’t really seem to fit the ancient or modern criteria as our knowledge of these structures is constantly evolving.
Thanks for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference!
I've come to the conclusion that catching up on ALL of Simon's back videos will be a lifetime commitment.
I think video on the Pangaea would be pretty interesting
LOL Starting off with a Douglass Adams quote. Hell yes.
You need an astronomy channel! Or at the very least make a playlist!
I like the science of science fiction. I hope that you guys make some more videos for it soon!
Props for the reference to HHGTTG!
Space is so fascinating. I don't ever want to go there, as the earth is a pretty sweet place. But all of this knowledge combined with the reality that it only scratches the surface of understanding our own solar system, so fascinating. I am with the person in this thread that suggested you start a space channel. Please do a space channel!

I'm a simple dude. I see an Astrographics video, I click watch.

The reason why we haven't send a space probe to 2 Pallas is because Pallas' orbit around the Sun is inclined by 35 degrees, making it very difficult if not nearly improbable to send a space probe in that direction from Earth. It requires a lot of fuel and change in velocity and momentum to orbit Pallas.
High-inclination destinations are for the Orion nuclear-pulse rocket. The Orion drive is best run from the Arctic or Antarctic latitudes where they can't EMP anything important
Clearly you don't live in the Arctic.
@@annoyed707 few do, WHICH WAS MY POINT.
@@annoyed707 Few people live there, and consider the environmental damages that you will do in the Antarctic and the Arctic (technically, you can't build anything here because it's just ice sheet with an ocean below. Also, there is a reason why we launch rockets as close to the equator as possible - to capitalize on the speed boost created by Earth's rotation which is fastest at the equator.
@@zimriel Consider the environmental damages that you will do to the Antarctic and the Arctic (technically, you can't build anything much in the Arctic because it's just ice sheets with an ocean below anyways).
Also, there is a reason why we launch rockets as close to the equator as possible - to capitalize on the speed boost created by Earth's rotation which is fastest at the equator. Launching from the poles would still eat up more fuel than what our standard rocket science demands.
Nice ‘Hitchhiker’s Guide to Galaxy’ intro there. :D
Simon, I hope you read this. You've made some really great content about space, so maybe you could make another channel called Spacegraphics that could cover everything about space, planets, moons, and even other solar systems.

Loved the gentle nods to Douglas Adams, my favourite sci fi humorist.
Woo a new space video!
" why is this thing in our solar system this way " shockingly a vaguely safe assumption is, Jupiter probably did it
Thanks for the video
Fabulous research in this video. Thank you
I LOVE THE DOUGLAS ADAMS REFERENCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU, THAT MADE MY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I haven't seen one of your videos in a minute but this popped in my feed-- the beard game is strong
Awesome!
For a second I thought you were gonna use MyHeritage to figure out the ancestry of the asteroid belt.
That woulda been a pretty strong advertisement.
Can you make a Playlist for all of your space based videos?
Love the Mob Psycho 100 reference in 'Crying my Psyche'
OK, after that HHGTTG reference, you need a Biographics about Douglas Adams.
This is such a good video.
If you hadn’t already covered so much space stuff here, then an Astrographics channel would have been a great idea!
Cosmographics
love the Douglas Adams opening
Nice opening! Simon’s a frood who really knows where his towel is.
I love you...r channel...s 👍🏼
7:05 this and the next are so amazingly great I love it haha
"relatively recently" ... we've only even known about the A Belt for a little over 200 years 🤷🏼♂️
Love the Douglas Adams quote.
My guy Simon must have had himself a well earned break
Fact Boy looks menacing in armor.
I've been listening to Geographics for a week or two, and I'm loving the content. This is my next listen.
But I'm going to take the opportunity to respond to the San Andreas "Big One" . . . .

Reelfoot Lake.
The I-40 Corridor.

Asteroids, including those in the asteroid belt have been suggested as a possible site of human colonization. Some of the driving forces behind this effort to colonize asteroids include the survival of humanity, as well as economic incentives associated with asteroid mining. The process of colonizing asteroids does have many obstacles that must be overcome for human habitation, including transportation distance, lack of gravity, temperature, radiation, and psychological issues.
Love the nod to Douglas Adams!
The sound of this video is low 😔. Love the channel 😁
Hello Simon how are you 😊
Belgium man. That intro made me laugh pretty hard.
2:45 Hours of boredom punctuated by moments of extreme terror? It only takes a little one to spoil your whole day. LoL
Would love to see a video devoted solely to Sedna one day. In the meantime, though, keep up the great work! 🙂
Great video! As you mentioned early, please give thought to a video on the Trojan asteroids, but not just Jupiter! Earth has 2. Mars has several along with Uranus and Neptune. Saturn as well 2019 UO14 a paper I'm involved with will hopefully be out soon!
Every time he does adverts for my Heritage I think to myself thank God my grandpa was obsessed with genealogy and did our family tree up until 1750
graphics always make the belt look crowded. whereas if you stood on an asteroid you probably wouldn't be able to see another one.
Was that Simon Alva Edison? Very distinguished!
Bro this channel very much would benefit from a space playlist.....
"But, but, but...The Flat Earth?!?..."🤣😂🤣😂
i 100% make the effort to skip all ads and not use any products advertised on youtube
“Even Uranus is haunted by a pair of these cosmic butt gremlins” 😂
What will simon’s writers think of next 😹
More Space videos!
I can't say I have heard the theory of the asteroid belt being the remains of a fifth rocky planet, but it's certainly an interesting theory
You probably know what I'm going to write...Thanks, again, for another space video, my son and I will watch together. Would you possibly do a video on Thea? It's a theorized planet that crashed into earth and broke apart, creating our moon.
Was watching this video as a row of videos suggested from your channel, but had to crank up the sound to hear something.
Hyperinformative video nonetheless - as always - but the sound was somewhat quiet compared to the last ones. next video killed my ears from the start cause i still had the sound turned up so much from this vid :D
You make a good video.

Remember the CANT!
Milowda!!! Stay away from de aqua!!
The focus for humanity should be establishing bases on both the Moon and Mars (elsewhere if possible), not so much on galactic scientific studies. Given the cycles this planet has gone through in the past, it would be wise to have humanities footprints elsewhere... Just is case.
Pretty much all efforts since Apollo, have gone to science, so I think they've had the limelight long enough and we need a change of focus for a bit. Once bases have been established, the scientists can then go back to their exploring.
If you find it, do you get to name it?
I lost it at "butt gremlins" 💀
At least hoping for a space playlist on the geographics page
Beltalowda!
On one of your channels, do some videos on things like the history of body modifications like tattoos, her transplants, breast implants etc

Too many wellwallas here beratna.
Simon, you need to make a space channel called "Space Blaze"
Question... if to be a planet you have to clear your orbit how are trojans not making earth/mars/etc lose their status?
Should do an episode on Stephenson 2-18
China's rover looks like the robot Johnny 5 from short circuit 😅
Who needs suspenders when we have an asteroid belt.
I think it's fascinating that the Voyager sisters & any other probes made it through this shooting gallery to get out of the inner solar system. 😳
ASTRONOMY PLAYLIST, PLEASE
It has been estimated on average there is roughly half a million miles between asteroids in the asteroid belt. That's 2.5 times the distance between the earth and our moon.
Closer to 0.9 million miles on average. Small change at those distances though.
New Astrographics video = 🌞
Just noticed you are sitting behind a table in this video.
isthe kuiper belt and Oorth cloud as dense packed as the asteroid belt ? or are the rocks 10 times further apart and 1000 further apart relative to the asteroid belt ?
If space has taught us anything, then it's all about the probing! Lol 😆
