Great dog work! At about the 7:00 minute mark, when those GSP were locked on point, and the two spaniels were running around like crazy, it looked like that one spaniel walked right over that hen, and that bird never even twitched!! I'm super surprised that spaniel didn't smell it.
When you’ve hunted with your dogs long enough you can always tell when there’s a bird there. She was sure of it. My friend was surprised as well that they didn’t smell it!
So nice to see truly good dog work in a video. Steadiness even with the springers running around. Steady to wing, finished retrieves. I used to have springers and experiencing a similar day with my dogs not able to locate the pheasants being pointed I realized we must be walking by a bunch of birds. Great job with your dogs!
