it's my favorite moment in anything film related ever. After seeing Hououin die inside of Okabe and finally reawakening, just.. I cry tears of joy every time. The first season to me was more about loneliness, and the second season was more about depression. Okabe's depression was like a cage for Hououin, and finally seeing it break after 21 episodes, it was just so incredible to watch. I've heard a lot of people say that they didn't like the Hououin persona at first, but when he comes back, they didn't realize how much they actually missed him. Steins;Gate is easily my all time favorite.
The soundtrack of this series is so incredible, it can bring me to tears of joy, inspiration, sadness, hopefulness, hopelessness and more all at the same time... S;G as a whole has quickly become my favorite entertainment of all time.

Maybe you mean it in a different way… okabe is the main character, like how can you take out okabe from the story? The whole writing is a master piece, the whole thing is a master piece, the soundtracks, the ops and eds, the plot, the timeline… everything is perfect about this anime. And for the ones who underrate SG0, will go f urself! SG0 is perfect in every possible way, its a necessary part of the story, like literally its not possible to take away SG0 from the story, its the most important part of it… SG0 is where okabe was actually able to control time and put it under his submission, SG is just and introduction, SG0 is the real plot, in SG okabe was just able to make a right decision, but not THE right one, that’s the whole point of the story… its chilling in every possible way, easily the best anime and show ever written. And when I say that I mean that if any character other than Okabe would have been created for the main role then the anime would have flunked big time. Okabe personally adds to my rating of the show both because I love him and because he is a very interesting character.
