      Please, please, please, teach me the tuvan language. I learned how to Khoomei. I know kargyraa, khoomei and Sygyt and It is my dream to learn the language. Please teach me, please. It is a really hard language and I just a little bit.

      Yep. Chylandyk and Byrlang too. Now I teach Tuvan Throat singing Online :)
      I did the mango language some time ago but they teach just a little bit of Tuvan.

    Christian hoen, this isn't the best showcasing of it, but the banjo.player (bela fleck), is possibly one of the best banjoists of all time

      I play a bit of banjo myself, and have been learning throat singing for about a year. I happened to know this song already and I can say without a doubt, the banjo definitely kicks ass on this and provided a really beautiful harmonic context to the melody via chord movement that's not present in the traditional version of this song!

    Anyone knows the word Ondar said at the end of his songs?? (e.g. 2:55)
    I listen to tuvan throat singers and Kongar-ol Ondar and Alash Ensemble usually say that word at the end of their songs and I never understand what they say!

      They say Shu-de with your alphabet and шу-де in tuvan.

      It basiaclly means "there" is what I was told. So in other words it is like saying that is the end.

    The audience appreciates that he is different, but don't realize that THEY are being disrespectful by making noise, and missing the overtones. Hopefully the appreciation outweighs the disrespect. Good job!

    Saw the Flecktones many times in the 90s . They always had different musical FREAKS with them ,and I mean that with total RESPECT.

      some would argue (myself included) that playing jazz and classical genre ensembles on a banjo is wonderfully freakish…

    Ok, now I know why I didn't appreciate this when I heard it in the Flecktones concert. It's because there's so much applause you can hardly hear how amazing this really is. The crowd doesn't know true concert etiquette, and it's unfortunate how they kind of spoiled his performance

      The first one is Alash Khem and the second one is Eki Attar (Good horses). If you still want to buy it, search online for the albums "Echoes of Tuva" and "Back Tuva future" by Kongar-ool Ondar.
