Operators album beside to the ones of Moonface and Wolf Parade. Glad to be back at the mid of the 2000's, when a Handsome Furs album was released next to a Sunset Rubdown album, and a Wolf Parade one.
Probably not. Operators have been on there quite a few times. I think they're just giving them a full stage because both the station and the band have history.
Seems like a blend of Kraftwerk with Devo and a litlle bit of Talking Heads. Ok great songs, great perform, great musicians but, to me, nothing of new, well...sorry.
One of my favorite bands. Can't wait to see them live again. Just amazing musicians and killer tunes.
1:18 Mission Creep
6:30 Control
11:20 I Die
17:15 Blue Wave
24:50 Cold Light
29:02 Space Needle
33:58 True
I can't push the 'LIKE" button enough to express how stoked I am about this band and this performance
Love the diversity of sound on this record. Lots of different synth and bass tones used, and even some brass at times.
KEXP, you are great! I began listening Operators and other fantastic bands thanks to your youtube channel.
An Amazing and Excellent Performance. I Love This Band. A True Band.

I can never get enough of Operators! Dan Boeckner is a genius.
Best new band on the scene these days . . . could be the next NIN. Live in Toronto tonight (August 19 / 16). Can't wait!!!
One of the few bands that can really be called underrated. So much incredible music and deep creativity.
What a wonderful band. Dan Boeckner is magnetic (and seems to morphing into an American Brett Anderson as he ages).
You know he is Canadian, right? :)
I'm in love with the kyeboardist of this band. Deelply. At least it feels that way. The music is cool, I'm just here listening for the first time :)
This drumer WOW !! 11:29 Beauty when you love like you did ..
am I the only one who hears a bit of bowie in his voice? that aside.. Quality music right here
maybe he DID die in Murder Lake and Bowie reincarnated and took over his soul.
Ha, I see what you mean -- and the Iggy Pop reference. I saw a bit of Brett Anderson from Suede!
Beck :D
Bowie and Jagger mixed 😎

Are you guys totally done with the small room sessions :( I think that intimate radio room session stuff is awesome
Probably not. Operators have been on there quite a few times. I think they're just giving them a full stage because both the station and the band have history.
Sounds like Bowie and Phoenix. Great job!
Wow, Dmitri Medvedev plays bass!
Yes! and Steve Wozniak is the drummer! :0)
I love operators and handsome furs.
Fuck yeah, I like this a lot.
Any band that uses a sample from aliens is cool with me.
so newt
I just can't get down with Mission Creep for some reason, and I am a huge Aliens fan. The rest of their stuff is great
Good music. Great energy. But mybe it's the mix, I'm not hearing any real hooks.
