That's simply not true. Most hbcu bands play marches. May not put them in a performance but we all play them. You have a better chance of hearing an hbcu band play a March than a pwi marching band.
@@MARCHING100PAPARAZZI I marched at Tennessee State back in the mid 2000s. So I can't relate to not playing marches or not sounding great. 2005 and 2006 atl botbs show our skill in playing marches.
MUSICALITY and SHOMANSHIP = AWESOMENESS ! I 'm so proud of these young adults and obviously they're under SUPERB LEADERSHIP ! Being a Morgan State 1967 graduate - I Love and Celebrate ALL the HBCUS ' marching bands for their impressive work ethic, precision, playing instruments while doing intricate routines, looking beautiful in various outfits/ uniforms, providing unmitigated joyful sound to the enraptured audiences, showing such pride in presentations and for being unequivocally unique with No Apology! HBCU PROUD - Always and Forever !
@@MARCHING100PAPARAZZI that's what's up 😁 I can't wait!!!! thank you so much for thinking of the ppl who are unable to make these appearances with the band. From the bottom of my heart I really appreciate what you do, why you do it keep up the Fantastic work and may God continue to bless you in everything that you do ❤️❤️🥰
@@MARCHING100PAPARAZZI I have and I'm not the only one who feels like that. I'm not saying they don't play anything new. I know FAM just moved to the SWAC, but when you compare them to other SWAC bands FAM is a little dated.
Famu has played ALL new music this yr. From the drills, dance routines all the way down to the 5th quarters. Stop thinking Fan Favorites are dated music. All bands have traditional music they play in game for their fans. So outside of the music they play in game like Sos, ice creamman etc what is dated ?
@@MARCHING100PAPARAZZI Question: How do you feel about the 5th quarter against Southern? The reason I bring up the SU 5th quarter is because people feel both are the top bands and it was relatively recent. Not saying SU is better. The 100s sound quality was amazing but the song selection was dated and lacked a little energy. Once SU played Power it was over and the song after that was the nail in the coffin.
@@30jersey478 southern has a better book in the stands. However their files shows are clean but they been doing the same drills for decades. FAMU not really a 5th quarter band with their book but the halftime shows kill these swac bands.
Circus Bee ❤️🔥. I always tell these kids man, if you play a woodwind instrument, no other school makes sense 🤷🏾♂️
They have the best woodwinds in the HBCU
It's that. It's the fact that they are balanced other bands especially in the swac just overpower their woodwinds
@@ochunsalter7242 nah. SWAC woodwinds just cant play
Man they sound good
THE BADDEST BAND IN THE LAND!
The only HBCU band that plays traditional marches and actually sounds great doing so.

Different league type better!!
Finally FAMU playing a few up-to-date selections. I love the 100s but lately kind of been playing older songs. They have the best, balanced sound.
Definitely havent been listening to the 100 recently then
