Large deployment of emergency services at car in the water in Veenhuizen Netherlands

Veenhuizen - Just after half past six, a report came in of a car in water on the Hoofdweg (N919) in Veenhuizen. An observant motorist had called 112 after he just saw a car in the water. The emergency services have been turned out in a big way because it was not known whether there were still people in the vehicle. The air ambulance was also quickly on site, as were the divers who immediately went into the water. After a long search it became clear that no one was in the vehicle and water. The driver was already at home. The fire service lifted the car out of the water and the heavily damaged vehicle was towed away. It is not known how it happened, but skid marks were visible in the bend.
