2015 Pohatu received the deepest changes, with a completely new torso that includes the Toa Metru "pelvis" and the dark tan gearbox casing that was released with the "The Force Awakens" figures.
2016 Pohatu got a more extensive makeover. Changed the construction of the upper arms slightly, bulked him up with some shells in back, lengthened his legs, gave him brown gloves and dark, DARK brown boots, and silver Vorox/Skrall plates on the sides. I originally used more dark tan ones, but the silver ones broke up the colors nicely and kept it from being too monochrome. Also lengthened his staff and made the flail the "front" end. I wanted this Pohatu to have a slight Mad Max vibe, to look like a humble farmer turned soldier who ended up pulled into a war he wanted no part of.
Nilkuu didn't need many changes. Just gave him some much needed back armor coverage and a sidearm that plugs into the side of his foot, giving him an old west vibe.
Ketar's the runt of his litter, but I actually like him quite a bit. I lengthened his front legs, claws and tail, added some dark tan shells and added silvery claws. He's more expressive now as a result, and he even has a bit more color cohesion. LOVE how effective the combined form looks with the more unified colors and longer claws and tail.
Something about the Bionicles being put outside is so relaxing. It makes us more....lively

I always enjoy these video formats with these modified figures, it kinda ancors back with the 2001 toa commercials. Great job and I can't wait to see umarak in closer detail ^~^
Loved all your revamps, they really should have been released like that, especially the Uniter line.
Although if i may present only one minor nitpick: Pohatu's horns in unity form were the only thing i actually liked in the vanilla release.
But nevertheless, you did an astounding job. Hats off sir, hats off.

Is there any way you could do how tos on these guys? I know they’re very tedious and time consuming but these revamps look so frickin cool.

Did you see the end? I'm going to make two more of these, one about Umarak's two forms and the Shadow beasts, and one about both Ekimu's and Makuta's forms. I think I'll call these last two videos "Shadow" and "Brothers."

I ended up cannibalizing those guys a lot... the only one that looks "acceptable" is my Skull Scorpio revamp, which I'll probably release pictures of.

Why does this make me think of the toa mata cg animations?
I like what I see here. I like how the changes were very subtle and didn’t drastically change anything unlike onua. Love that little sneak peek of umarak (darn I wish I had more of those furr pieces). Also have you seen the stop motion films Bionicle np did for 2006 and 2007? If so what are your thoughts and would you be willing to do a review once you empty your plate.

Something I thought about and wish to experiment with at some point. What are your thoughts on implementing cloth more in constraction sorta like the Star Wars figures? I plan on picking up the Royal Guard to mod Tahu with a more robed aesthetic.

I think it was a Sony handycam. Keep in mind this was several years ago. These days I just use my phone.

For my 2015 Pohatu I used the silver torso shell that came with Phasma so all the male toa had a similar shape to their torsos (my 2015 Kopaka has a white one that came with the FO Stormtrooper). I gotta ask: Why did you opt for his original torso shell?
I wasn't aware that there was something wrong with the shell. I just thought it looked appropriate for the smallest Toa.
Nick on Planet Ripple Oh no I wasn't saying it looks wrong at all. I just always thought it gave off a more feminine appearance, so I left it on Gali, but gave different ones to Pohatu and Kopaka. I guess I was more curious if you had the same mentality
I guess. I just like how detailed and knightly it is, and in the case of Kopaka it just makes his shoulders look burlier, like he's some cartoon character from the 30s with a giant, triangle shaped upper body.

Colors and weapons were all wrong
I painted hes armor darker brown and sandy earth scheme
New sonic arm blades, the small dagger blade and a makuta part
Gave him the nuva look
Giving him a backpack isnt really mod/moc worthy. Only 1% was changed :/
