I personally never do general intervals in the TT position purely because my power output is slightly lower for the same effort. In fact, I normally always do intervals outdoor on the road bike. I like to claim I am usually science backed on training but for this I just remember Cam Wurf once saying he never does intervals in the TT because he just wants maximum output so I have always just rolled with that. I have also always had a hard time holding the TT pos indoors. I will do any race specific intervals in the TT position though.
