Amazing attention to detail. Not often that animations show armor working. The switch to half-sword to try and deal with the armor was great too. Also love the sounds that the characters in armor make when they move.
I was 14 when i started playing rogue and now I'm 20. I remember watching your animations and it sparked this ambition of wanting to create stories. It's 2025 now and you released a fire animation outta nowhere. Keep it up king 👑👑

I am blown away. Only going to analyze the beginning or I guess (first half of this epside) with Ethel and Mustang. Only because the second part while it was defiently cool I do feel it was slightly dragged on and the lack of music made it feel quiet. (althought the fight with ryude and the church knight is awesome I especially like h The beginning sequence was a brilliant idea, going over the story of solans sword with a nice cinematic cutscene which then cuts to reality where it is a story being told this bard character named Hikari. ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE way to start off this story, the cinematic of the story of solans being in black and white was a nice touch (could symbolise the black and white nature of sigil knights. Good vs Evil, Orderly vs Chaotic etc. (which would tie to ethel as he is going to be trained by a warlord a choatic class.)) Anyway the subtle details in there movement will be something Ill bring up alot like Ethel invisioning solans sword in his own hands 00:57. Or how when Fenris shows up the Dragon Sage beside Hikari immediately opens his eyes giving him this cold stare. This gives me the impression the two defiently know each other and do not get along what so ever. Fenris then Takes ethel over to batte against this fischeran character in which they travel through a gate. THIS TRANSITION IS SMOOOTH, I love the way you made them just slide up and down on the screen, the camera movement helps with this alot and its handled super well. I do wish the snap for the gate cast was a little more noticable aside from the sound effect but that really a small small small small nitpick that honestly doesnt matter that much. Before the Battle: So as Ethel is taken to the Obelisk we then cut to Mustange and the super sigil knight trainer (I dont remember his name) having a chat atop the tree. What I liked about this whole scene was the fact that even though the characters arent voiced, their movements, eyes, and even mouths feel so fluid and alive. It makes you feel that there is more sound in the episode than there actually is and it is really well done. I also find it funny how mustang mentions they are 1:1 because even in game they look exactly the same however the ultra sigil trainer Jagen is missing his arm. The idea of them being brothers is actually pretty ironic and glad that it is brought up as small bit. There is also mention of this zephyr character who I assume is the main antagonist of this series (he shows in later in the episode). As they discuss we learn a bit about Mustang, apparently he his student and is told he must find another to replace them. The name of the student Vaati could mean that they were a vind or fischeran (I want to go out on a limb and guess Fischeran because he explains the fischerans racial passive but I have no idea). The two then walk over and witness Ethel facing off against a Fischeran Sigil knight. What I like about this scene is how mustangs movements show his interest in Ethel as he is shown to be visibly surprised by his skill. Its also funny how when the super sigil trainer begins explaining Ethels upbringing and skills, Mustang is completely gone by then showing that Mustang while powerful is still young at heart. He kind of reminds me of Kamina from Gureen Lagann or Enjin from Gachiakuta. THE BATTLE: (OH MY GOD ITS SO AMAZING) So we cut to Ethel and the fischeran battling it out. (What I like is that it is mentioned that the fischeran is a great defense which is not only shown through the fischerans racial ability but also the fact that they are using the ice charge, which slows enemies down is a mostly defensive charge. it contrasts really well with ethels fire charge which is apparently the only charge he can use? I think that is probably going to lead into him getting solans obtaining the white flame etc etc.) The camera work during this battle is ON POINT. I love how as they are swinging the camera moves as there swords clash making it all flow together really well. The movements aswell the way they twirl their blades around is brilliantly executed. You know exactly when to have your characters battle speed accelerate as they clash blades and then slow down until one of them lands a devastating blow, which in this case is the fischeran straight up impaling Ethel which was unexpected. (Also want to mention the sublte detail of the swords clashing together 04:12 where you can here the sound steam as there blades connect for a brief moment, great attention to detail.) Ethel loses and then the doctor just straight up force feeds him a health potion also just dumps on his head which is pretty neat. (Health potions are both an ointment type substance and also a drinkable heal) 04:56 Jumpscare. Anyway this is a good into scene where Ethel and Mustang finally meet each other. This scene gives us good insight on the two characters, Mustang an almost free spirit type character in the same vein as someone like sonic (kinda) who enjoys the thrill of battle and seems to be more of an extrovert, compared to the quiet Ethel who seems more closed off and introverted in comparrison. Mustang then begins to talk to Ethel about a battle strategy and brings up the GAIA PRAETERITUM which is pretty assume bringing in media made by other and inserting into the world as normal.(if you dont know what this is, its just a lore document going over all the races its on the rogue wiki) Its totally wicked to see it be referenced and it makes you wonder if other fan media will be referenced aswell like the 'rogue lineage myths' being considered urban legend in this world, or maybe things like the "iron lineage" exist and its just an extreme form of training to obtain a class. There is alot that can be interpreted and imported in this world and I am curious to see if anything else makes it way in. Getting back on track Mustang explains to Ethel a battle strategy for when it comes to battling against fischerans. AGAIN THE MOVEMENT IS SO GOOD, As he is explaing a burst strategy to take down the fischeran he talks about rhythm and very briefly moves back and forth at 6:54 which is incredible attention to detail I LOVE IT. The two get back into there battle stances and begin to battle once more. Ethel and the Fischeran begin to clash and what I like about this part now is that we visibly see Ethel implement this strategy in a way few different ways. At the beginning of the battle he rushed in only to quickly roll back at 07:31 then going back into battle and then pausing at 07:37 where we get a close up of Ethels sword. Then at 7:39 where Ethel steps back getting into stance and dose a lunging attack. ALSO THE BLADE TWIRLING IS AWESOME DURING THESE PARTS. They exchange attacks until Ethel lands a blow at 07:50 and then steps back regrouping for a period of time before jumping back into battle. Then once the Fischeran finally takes damage the two begin to go all out against each other in an incredible exchange of attacks. I especially like at 08:05 where we see Ethel block swings from both sides and then dodge an attack almost like a 1,2,3 and then attack. Then there final exchange begins where Ethel comes out victorious and just kinda clips through the fischeran?? I get that its like slash through them but it does feel a bit too snappy seeing him phase through the fischeran. (might have been better if it was a side slash where Ethel was on the side of the fischeran slashing through them instead of a downward strike but non the less still an incredible scene.) After the battle the two dap each other up and it a pretty nice scene showing the enjoyment people can get out of battle (this is contrasted with the second part of the epsiode where people get absolutely eviscerated but I digress.) Anyway Mustang offers to take Ethel as his student which is when Fenris shows up once again breaking down the whole situation and advises that Ethel goes along with Mustang. (Also the fact that Mustangs name is literally Mustang Blademaster is kinda wild to me). Then cut to Fenris wraithing way which again, incredibly well executed the smooth phase up and down is incredible. (Kinda reminds me of phasing into the backrooms in a weird way.) Then the Dragon Sage appears which contrats with the wraiths slow and sublte movements as he instantly and almost abruptly appears in a flash of lighting to Fenris calling him out on his action about lying to Ethel. Final notes: To say this peak would be an understatement. This is an absolute work of art and shows the journey how far you have come from when you made the first episode to now. What I love most about this animation is the attention to detail, the movements, the wording, the sounds, it all so miracuously put together and it makes this so amazing. I know I didnt go over the second part which would probably make this comment way to long, but I also just didnt find it as interesting as the first part of the episode and felt it dragged out a bit long. I personally prefer the originals take to Melkaris apperance where he absolutely decimates the team, but I will admit the fight that does take place is INCREDIBLE (just wish it had music). Like to give the second part credit (which is deserves because the animation was well executed) the scene of the kasparan character fighting while using respirare and then getting grabbed by the church knight and having there head pop was AWESOME. Then Ryude and the Church knight battling and you can see the despair in Ryude as he is fighting for his life against what are inevitable odds as they clashes speed up and then catching each others weapons and even resorting to kicking at each others legs.
