Great to hear from you Kory. Look forward to seeing your next layout in progress. I have “redone “ mine twice now. Also, I learned how to make a decent looking road from your how to video. Cheers 🍻 my friend. What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.
You have got to take of yourself first. I understand and appreciate your position. Your modeling skills are awesome. Whatever you recreate I am sure it will be fantastic. I am still blown away by the traffic signals you have for your roadway. It is perfect and resembles the actual roadway as I remember it when I was in the area. I look forward to your new and improved design.
Hi ya Kory. Being dissatisfied with a layout and losing your mojo can be hard on a modeler. So……….although I’m sad to see your layout being dismantled, I’m excited to see what you come up with. A shelf layout sounds good. Maybe with a switching puzzle to make operations fun. But whatever you come up with, know that your faithful subscribers will be there to watch. Glad to see another video from you Kory. Take care of yourself. See ya next time.
To echo so many, I also am looking forward to what the future version looks like! You have learned a lot with this one, and the next will run smoother and hopefully be more satisfying!!
I feel ya man. Sometimes life just takes over and you get pulled away from enjoyable pastimes. Same for me as well. I've been working on my shelf layout here and there lately but the enjoyment has lagged a bit so the drive to complete projects on it isn't what it was in the beginning. Kentucky weather in winter isn't too motivating when your layout is set up in a shed with no heat or air tho lol. Things take days to dry when it's cold. When it was inside before I moved, I could knock out plaster cloth, paint, and start ground cover in a day and have it all dried. But now, I only did the plaster, 4 days ago, and it still isn't dry. So it kills your motivation in that situation. But dude you have a really good eye for N scale details. You get down to the tiny things which make all the difference. And your roadway making skills are some of the best I've seen. I hope to see another video soon of your progress. Take care good sir!
Great to see you back Kory, shame to see your layout go, was a great inspiration for my modelling, but as I know personally, sometimes you need a change if you're not happy, in the middle of redoing all the scenery on mine, looking forward to watching what your new layout will look like. Reid 👍
A little sad to see, but completely understandable and just sooooooo glad to hear u say you're NOT getting out of the hobby!!!! Your past work in 1:160 scale has been VERY inspiring to me, and countless others I'm sure. Best of luck, hope u have fun with the next steps, and thanks for sharing all your experiences with us.
I can fully understand your feelings Kory for what's caused you to pause, reflect, and re-evaluate your efforts on the layout. Life gets in the way of a lot of things; but the important thing is to remember to first take care of yourself, then everything else will fall into place. The layout you accomplished was outstanding. Just think of what you'll be able to tackle in the future. A new track layout is exciting and challenging. I'm glad to hear you're not giving up on that. Take care my friend. Be well!!!
Thank you for sharing this. Although things are a problem and have to be torn, it's not a waste. It's fun to think of starting anew with new info and vision!
Sad to see the old layout go. Although I completely understand where you’re coming from. I lost interest in modeling for a while after becoming discouraged with my old layout. After building my newest layout, I’m much happier and have the drive to continue with modeling. I can’t wait to see what you have planned.
Kory, looking forward to future videos as you repurpose your layout. You always had some great tips whenever you created new scenery and building details. Hope to see a new plan soon.
Over the last 70 years, I've had the same thing happen a number of times. It's usually sad to dismantle a layout, but having a clean slate and beginning a new layout is always so exciting and revitalizing. I've recently had to downsize twice, from a 26'X16' room, to a 10'X11' room to a small area only large enough for a shelf layout. I look forward to seeing what you do with a shelf to inspire me to build mine.
Time invested means jack squat if you're not happy... Starting fresh will get your mojo will be back in no time and you'll have a new focus. Have fun Pal. -grant
Hey Kory good to see you again. You some times you just need break and then the inspiration comes back. Sorry to see the old layout go but you've got to do what right for you. Looking forward to what comes next!
@@NoFear2473651 I've seen people get away with using regular Elmer's glue but I would steer clear. Liquid Nails is so much better. Hope to see more updates from you soon!!

That sucks. I was wondering what happened to you and had been looking for updates. Anyway good luck with the new layout and take your time , plan it right , and get the track bullet proof before scenery and etc.
Kory I'm with you buddy, I was in the wagon for couple months but now I'm re doing alit and it's getting exciting... Check out my last two of my vids and you'll see. Chin up move forward and be happy. So cool to see ya back with some new stuff... Take care, Gary...
Life gets in the way of our hobbies! And you're right, if it ain't working for you, start over! Ain't nothing wrong with that! I just thought about down sizing my goals of having a huge HO Layout and just build something that will make me happy, even if it's temporary again! I'm going to take 5 elements and build around that.
