I really enjoyed this history on Ivy. You revealed a bit more than I knew. Excellent presentation.
Honestly, I initially got curious about her for the fan service but, after playing with her a bit, I started to like how more complex her character and fighting styles are. She has many layers as she is fighting for good, but often perceived as evil by other characters for her ties with Cervantes and Soul Edge. Her weapon and moveset are also pretty unique.

Lol when I was a young boy she became my favorite character because of the boobs, but after I read her story I related to the fact her father walked(being the spawn of soul edge) out on ivy and hated him. It is ironic that what Ivy's foster father, the Count Valentine, was looking for all his life was just right below his nose. Technically, Ivy achieved what Earl was trying to have: eternal youth. It seems it is one of the "gifts" that Soul Edge energy can grant apparently. Cervantes, Kilik, Tira, Maxi and the Edge Master. Those guys, with Ivy are the only one that age slowly or pratically they stopped to do because of Soul Edge...
Nightmare in the lore confuses me to no end.
In the game itself he looks like he would just run into a town and slaughter anyone no matter what their allignment would be, and if they had a shard of soul edge, he would just kill them and take the shard.
Meanwhile in the lore he just casually walks into Ivy's room and powers up her blade, then goes and makes a alliance with Tira because he likes stalkers.
