Brilliant ‘clap back’ !! I have been a daily fragrance wearer since high school in the late 1970s but I’ve only been a part of the niche community for the past 3-3.5 years. During my niche journey, I recently discovered a scent profile different then my scent preference: freshies or warm weather fragrances. In my very humble opinion there is definitely something that distinguishes these fragrances from my favorite deep, woody, oudy, incensy, fragrances. My new discoveries are lighter, fresher and often marine fragrances. So, S an example, I’m a New Jersey Boy, so marine fragrances conjure up summer beach days in my home state. BUT, here is the rub…40 Knots , from Xerjoff, has a marine note AND can perform in zero degree temps. I just prefer it in the NJ Summer because of the way it triggers beach memories for me. Same for Aqua Di Sale by Profumum Roma. Conversely, I enjoy my true loves (heavier scents) year-round. I’ll sport an Oud fragrance during the summer in NJ in a second!! After visiting Dubai, I’ve got to say that there should be no debate about this side of the issue. “Heavy” scents abound there despite the climes. Anyhoot, thank you for challenging a very stereotypical opinion. PS- “a back massage away from conception “ 😂😂😂
Your videos have helped me learn so much about fragrances, not to mention discovering some real gems that I might not even have known about otherwise. I wear what I like, I don’t care if others consider it seasonally or gender inappropriate or if anyone compliments me on my fragrance. I hope you keep doing what you do for many years to come😊.
I've been preaching this since forever. Wear what makes you happy, what you like, what you desire because first and foremost is for your pleasure not for others. Don't buy fragrances just because they're hyped and you need compliments from them, it defeats the purpose. I love wearing incense in hot weather or animalic fragrances because i simply love them, just like i wear fresh, citrusses in cold weather in the winter. Glad i'm not the only one 😉

I have over 1000 different fragrances from niche to designer fragrance and they all wear the same to me whether it’s winter or summer spring or fall. I wear everything I got when I want to if it’s a citrus fragrance if you want it to last a little bit longer spray on a little bit of ISO E super that’ll help it last all day if it’s a fragrance like oud or a real pungent fragrance just spray a couple sprays don’t take a bath in it and you’ll be fine

We had a cold front come through Atlanta not too long ago and I had on Riviera Sunrise by Atelier des Ors, which is a citrus fragrance…you could literally smell the orange blossom and oranges cut through the cold. Another point, I wear Grand Soir ALL THE TIME in the Atlanta heat, absolutely smells tremendous in the summer’s evening air. So, I agree! Wear what you wanna wear whenever you want to. Peace, Fam.
A half mile parking lot? 😳 Wow! But as far as I know, labelling fragrances is just marketing. The materials inside the bottle all have different properties and you can use them however you want. I've used a fragrance to remove coffee stains from a mug. Does that make it a bonafide coffee stain remover? 😄 If you don't have pepper spray, you can defend yourself with perfume like that dude on the bike did in Stiller's The Heartbreak Kid. 😂 Does that make it a bonafide weapon? The guy in the comments was right that the materials will interact slightly differently in different atmospheric conditions, but that doesn't make them anything but a bottle of chemicals. Let's be real. Even "perfume" could be considered a marketing term.

The ones, like the poster, they could easily be going nose blind bc as you mentioned I've never come across a fragrance that is gone in under an hour let alone 20mins. I'm honest with myself and have realized that it's not the fragrance its me that can't smell it NOT that the fragrance isn't performing. There's also no such thing as "barber shop" fragrances which fragrance heads are routinely catagorizing on tons of mens fragrances created in the 70's , 80's and early 90"s. Its just lazy and ignorant. They were in fact the Chypes, Fougères, Musks, Orientals, Citruses, Woods etc. of that time period.

It could be the fragrances that he is wearing or that his skin is very dry. The dryer your skin, the faster the 'molecules' evaporate.
