Hi! Thanks for the nice explanation! I have a question tho. If i understand it all correctly, i am now sorting on the total value of the sales. However, in my case, i am building a bigger dendogram, where the layers further in the tree are based on different criteria, so meaning in 1 layer of the diagram, i need different sheets for the branches of the previous layer. Because of this, i need to be able to sort the branches so the dont switch around once the values are in a different order. How would i need to change that? Hope my question is clear :)
Wow this is incredible. Thank you so much for sharing. I do have a small problem, hoping you can help. (Unless I missed something) My top Subcategory for furniture (as an example) is $200M But my top Subcategory for Office Supplies is only $50M However, in the view the line lengths are the same size. So if you don't read the numbers you would think the sales are equal. I think this is what your vizzy is showing also. But because the sales are similar it is not as noticeable. I am stumped as to how to fix. Would be grateful if you could assist. Thanks again.
Hi, first of all thanks so much for posting this, great walkthrough and tremendously valuable. I wanted to ask about dynamically sorting of the branches on the tree when you have 3+ sets of branches. I noticed at 4:01 you manually sorted the categories. Is there a good way to dynamically sort so that lower levels of the tree are aligned to the higher levels? Not sure if we need another rank calculation or something.. Edit: figured it out - a new rank calculation was needed for the successive levels and to be referenced in the Y calcs
Please show from the beginning, how you have created calculations. This doesn't make sense, if anyone is playing with the pre created calculations and the view
Hi Uber, Apologies if it didn’t came across clearly. As mentioned in the title, this tutorial is part of a three video series. If you start watching from part I, it will make more sense. Link to part I: ua-cam.com/video/Ni0i0VjOuAw/v-deo.html Link to part II: ua-cam.com/video/1FVwBj6pHxg/v-deo.html Hope that helps 😊
Are there any limits to how many nodes, or how deep the nodes can go? Any limits on how many inches wide or tall the display can be? Is it possible for me to click on a node and have a sheet below automatically filter? Ideally I'd love to have several sheets where the user could choose. For example, you click on a node, the first sheet below is budget information, the user can click somewhere and you see personal details about the person you clicked on. Thanks!
Thats a great question. There is no such limit but its recommend to have fewer nodes as it will get too congested. Also if you want to slick on a node and want it to drill down further then please check out my another tutorial where is have explained that scenario. ua-cam.com/video/B0IxDH8Cm80/v-deo.html FYI - this video have some sound quality issue but it will give you an idea. Hope that helps :-)
Awesome Job Sir. Thanks a ton
Good presenatation
Thanks 😊

Hi, please try fixing the axis with the max and minimum values. that will solve the issue. Hope that helps.
