What is Surfski? 2021

In 2021 I was amazingly fortunate to paddle in some incredible places around the world with amazing people - which is a lot of what the sport of surfski is all about. I was also stoked to come away with a sponsorship from Nordic Kayaks USA, so here are some of the best waves from last year. Thank you to Ana Swetish for being the best, Nordic Kayaks for the amazing boats and support, Giant Fish for the best neoprene paddling gear I've ever owned, and everyone else who has made this such an amazing year for paddling.

Impressed by the fact that the green bow surfski has not a tendency to plunge the bow under water even when hardly pushed. What model is it please ?

It has a wave deflector. Very useful on low bows and short skis.

Is that NK spray deflector as much of an advantage as it looks? Seems to never create that rainbow effect where all the H2O goes straight in your face!

I definitely still get water blasted into my face sometimes but I think a good wave deflector if properly placed is a really useful piece of paddling kit!
